With the arrival of summer, most of the islands in southeast War Seas get revelled in continuous sunlight and overwhelming warmth. In Yangaria, the only way to cool off during the hottest of this period is to either stay in shadows or venture down to the coastal areas — where the heat dies down to more pleasant temperatures.
Some of the oldest architecture is also spread all across the said coast. Ruins of archaic houses and historical castles still stand despite their weary condition; but the one thing that is guaranteed to catch your eye is the mysterious portal — just in the center of the meadows.
Despite it being as old as the ruins surrounding it, the frame has maintained a surprisingly pristine condition; only suffering from oxidation of its marble and natural overgrowth.
Rural legends say that this uncanny portal links to Elysium — a paradise where fallen heroes spend their afterlife. A land where the sun never sets.
The concept of a place as such sure does sound alluring, though many doubt you can enter it without dying a hero’s glory; brushing the portal’s frame as a symbolic site rather than a real, working portal.
