A short theory about the beginning of AO

We all know about the order and how they experimented on a specific group of individuals, and the mc, morden and tucker escaping.

And considering our meeting with poseidon at the end of the bronze sea storyline, we (our character) may be closely related to the god of the sea himself.

Talking about the mythos, poseidon had 2 brothers, hades and zeus, which made me think about a possible correlation with morden (being related to hades) and tucker (tucker being killed offscreen like zeus because he is an idiot just like his possible anscestor)

So yeah, i just wanted to share this, just tought it would be interesting to point out

what if ao was like a shitty gacha game and you had to roll a god to be related to and get blessings from
i would buy all the spins just to get prometheus

Arcanewoken

Im honestly not interested in having the blessing of a pair of ashes

I feel like Morden being related to Hades will become important. Hades was the reason a lot of things got f-ed in the Seven Seas due to Durza, wouldnt be a surprise if he’s also pulling the strings in War Seas (something abt the Order’s motivations seeks to oddly align with Hades’ intentions with Durza. Both seeks to test the limits of magic.)

If Morden is related to him, it could mean terrible things are on the way for that guy, especiqlly since it seems to be established that Gods can communicated with their legacies which is uh… oh no.

I actually used to theorize Tucker was Zeus’ descendant was well… but now…? Ive got this weird theory that its not Zeus, but Prometheus, from two things, one might be a stretch idk.

One, Tucker’s color scheme. Maybe not seem much but he’s shown to have ginger hair. The characters in the main cast usually follow a certain color scheme, usually matching their hair color, and in turn, also matches their first magic. Tucker’s main color might be orange, but such color is usually associated with fire magic. I mean, there’s alternatives, but theyre not really associated with Zeus.

Another thing is that Tucker is very smart. Like, it’s heavily implied he was the one who was behind the trio’s escape, and Morden seems to even look up to him for that. The fact that its very emphasized means that its an important character trait.

Prometheus is the Titan of Forethought. Yes, ik he f-ed up the world and didnt think it all through, but there was a moment where he did manage to see through Arthur and make up a plan on the spot to eventually defeat him. He’s also strongly associated with fire.

And while it may seem out of place that Tucker is Prometheus’ descendant while MC is Poseidon’s, Morden is Hades’, what the three all have in common is that they all did something in rebellion against the other Gods.

Prometheus killed Zeus, Poseidon sided with humanity in the War of The Gods, and Hades… well, we dont know what he did, but probs did something that warrants him being stuck in the Underground apparently.

Its kinda ironic, there’s a really good chance all of the three (Prometheus, Poseidon, Hades) were all enemies, then their descendants becames close friends.

I do have another really kinda weird theory… MC isnt just the descendant of Poseidon, but they’re also a descendant of Zeus from the other side of their family. Not much evidence existing in-game except for a really obscure riddle and how they might get Second Awakening. Just a fun thought. (That would mean I ended up being AO’s ultimate prophet for predicting it in October of 2020 though since I used to headcanon that the MC will be Zeus’ descendant)

I always saw tucker having brownish hair rather than ginger, and one’magic doesnt always have to do with his appearance, for example calvus having aether

I may also be wrong but didnt the peacekeeper kill hades after the end of aa?

He did

Need some explaination for this then

He’s wearing attire associated with his kingdom, so those guys are exceptions

Fair enough

Idk, Tech casually revealed Hades is trapped in the Underworld one time in Discord (he says this back in 2020 sometime after the AO revamp announcement, so it could very well still hold up)

In the scrapped lore, Hades was actually one of the people behind the downfall of Mt Olympus. Idk what the current lore says now, but theres gotta be a reason why dude is stuck in his domain now

wait but Zeus is the type of guy to get freaky with other women while married
so you tryna tell me that Tucker also

Fr he didn’t even stop at women, he went for men too, in a particular way younger ones

And not just the men, but the women, and the children :speaking_head:

im not sure about this but it might be implied that the MC is at least closely tied w/ a god or the child of one

MC has some degree of hubris and is stated to be really powerful (traits of greek heros)

im guessing they’re the child of posideon cause hades is more faithful to his wife than posideon

If we’re talking about gods who aren’t faithful to their spouses, then that opens a plethora of possibilities

The most of the Gods in Arcane Universe are dead, so these guys are most likely descendants of the Gods (Thus, “legacies”).

But Poseidon outlived the other Gods, so MC’s lineage might be more recent, which could make them more stronger than even the average legacy.

Funnily enough, another series based off of Greek Myth also used the same term for descendants of the Gods, also named “legacies”. And its very popular too, kinda worried people will accuse of “copying” once AO becomes a book/book series but eh

(Also, Hades apparently did have a partner before Persephone that he ditched for the new wife and got turned into a tree by said wife, but no one knows her soooooo…)
