About imbuing magic onto elemental weapons

So as we know the Conjurer stat build allows the player to imbue their magic on weapons, but a slightly lesser known feature is it’s effect on elemental weapons like Sunken Sword

In this ss vetex talks about how magic imbuing would combine the two elements to choose which status effect would replace the original effect like for example: Ice + Sunken = Frozen, Fire + Sunken = Burning, and the more interesting example is that Lightning + Sunken = Just bigger attacks.

This gives some ideas but most importantly, imagine Earth + Sunken’s effect… @wvalkw I think there’s still a chance.

earth + water = absolutely nothing
idk what ur talking about

I doubt there’d be much, seeing as earth and water don’t have any interactions

im pretty sure hes joking about it being mud

but i doubt it earth is probably gonna do the same thing it does on any other weapon

ye lmao
EARTH AND SUNKEN SWORD SLOWS!!! MUD MAINS RISE!!!

Well if Fire + Sunken makes steam visual effects and Ice + Sunken makes presumably ice visual effects then I think Earth could make mud visual effects, but it’d probably just have the Soaked status instead of a new slowing one

eh, those visual effects are based on the magic interactions that fire/water and ice/water have, earth doesnt turn into mud when clashing with water or anything like that so i doubt it but it would be cool

so it… doesn’t do anything?

water and earth have zero synergies.

why’d i think he meant sunken sword for a sec :skull:

wrong person lmao its @wvalkw

Really cool potential synergies.

NOOO

Interesting piece of information.

Most likely that this will affect the market value of Sunken items, knowing that it can get better utility with these synergies.

Crystal + Light = Larger crystal
Poison + Fire/Plasma = Hot/Glowing Poison
Sand + Lightning = Glass
Metal + Lightning = Eletrified Metal
Heatbased magic + Lightning = Glowing Metal
Ash + Fire/Explosion = Petrified(Black material on blade)
Heatbased magics + Ice = Water
Water + Magma = Obsidian
Ash/Poison + Wind = Larger cloud AOE
Wood + Fire = Burning wood
Light + Shadow = Equinox?

Steam isn’t actually synergy and the sunken sword still does that. Neither is how the lightning sunken sword is described actually a synergy.

I think the effects described by vetex either either most similar to the clashing effects or the effects the magic has when exploding on water(from the ocean)
