About the upcoming weapon/spirit slot changes

Not fleshed out enough to be a suggestion yet, but I’ll just say this - with the separation of Weapons and Spirit Weapons into 3 slots each, Knight (and Spirit/Weapon Savants) will have 6 weapons to weave in combat. This is a really big deal for combat “feel”, because tampering with action economy can make a class frustrating or boring to pilot.

One way I can think of to keep the action economy reasonable is to make triple slot a Warrior/Oracle exclusive. Hybrids would either have 2 sets of weapon moves and a magic/FS, or 4 sets of weapon moves for Knight. Warrior and Oracle would probably get their third slot with their Awakening.

This keeps Knight reasonable, with 4 sets of hybrid moves. This makes Warrior into a class with a very strong gimmick, instead of a “conj without magic”. This gives Oracle that missing Awakening idea, instead of “10% damage reduction” More importantly though, this makes all the normal stat builds have similar action economy with each other. Savants still remain the most challenging stat build, preserving the main appeal of the stat build.

Let me know what other ideas you guys have about this.

(Obviously, hybrids losing a slot would make room for heavy buffs to their imbues and skill tiers. This is not a balancing suggestion, but a QoL one.)

or play a class that you can manage if you can’t handle the slots

So to understand this more clearly, you are suggesting something that has already been suggested and highly disagreed with.

You are bringing down other hybrid players because of your own inhability to play them, when you can either play a build with less stuff to play around with (2 stats, 1 stat), or don’t use all the weapons, maybe just use 1, or 2.

But why force it on everyone else? It’s a meaningless & baseless change that only brings negative consequences.

No because spirit/vitality hybrids can have the spirit weapons for imbues. Give hybrids a god damn chance to have to deal with 4-6 tools. I don’t understand why we are restricting these people to lesser slots. I genuinely don’t see the logic to it being good.

Also implied this is a suggestion out of suggestions.

idk why people keep suggesting this like if you dont want six combat tools just dont use six combat tools??? it aint that hard people

use less things

(or vetex could add a radial weapon wheel…)

another topic that makes 0 sense

Might i remind you that even without the seperate slots for spirit weapons, Savant was already going to have to deal with 6 tools regardless.
Get used to it buddy, i know i will.

Wasn’t this in suggestions?
Nvm, it’s not exactly the same but this seems somewhat similar

Your topic is similar to: that one topic in suggestion that everyone hated on cause it was stupid

If this is about the issue on taking up more keybinds, the issue is easily solved with just a tool wheel and Vetex already has plans on adding that.

Ok this guy definitely has no pvp experience to think like this, maybe next time don’t try to suggest on something you are clueless about  .

Checked his profile, thank god he has no suggestor role :sob: .

I like the idea of weapon slots varying depending on stat investment.

or just play with 2 weapons and 1 spirit weapon, why you want to ruin fun for everyone else

just say you’re incompetent

One person alreayd did this and i made a topic about it :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

so instead of suggesting a buff for those that play with less slots, youre suggesting a nerf for those that play with more?

There doesnt need to be a buff because the sacrifice for having more abilities is less power.

thats not even true but okay

Well if its not then sure buff, but mages will eventually have ancient magics while warriors will have legendary weapons etc.

doesn’t mean they’ll entirely outclass hybrids, just saying
