yeah, but some are above ocean floor level. How do I know if it’s below the ocean floor?
the ocean floor is a set number of meters down, if its below that number its below the floor

300m or deeper structures count as Abyssal.
You can easily tell if you notice the structure creates a “hole” on the ocean floor in order to fit.
Red structures are not abyssal, reddish-purple and purple are
Abyssal Underwater Structures (AUSs) can be found only within the Nimbus Sea in the same ways that Underwater Structures are (id est, through the usage of sea charts, through the obtainment of the nimbus sea explorer badge, by looking underwater).
While this is not confirmed, I believe that an Underwater Structure can be thought of as Abyssal from the moment its depth reaches above 125 meters below the sea’s surface (id est, at 126 and higher depths).
Revealing potions and a 90~100% oxygen capacity armour set are recommended to complete AUSs.

recommend you take revealing potions with you as well, or else you won’t be able to find anything since it’s pitch black
Clearsight potions are way more important. If you only have revealing, it will take hella long time to find the chests because of all the stuff you’ll be bumping into, not to mention hazards like urchins, jellyfish and clams.
if it shows pink purple that means its deep
also remember to use shark hunting attachment before start diving, abyss diving spot have 2-3 giant sharks which is painful to fight underwater
if you dont have 100% oxygen capacity armour, tier V waterbreathing brew is fine too (10 auric seaweed + 2 jellyfish fresh) and of course don’t forget revealing potion
Again, clearsight potions are far more important. There are structures where chests are in narrow tunnels and holes, and if you think revealing is enough, you’ll be trying to pass through hard rock a while.
Honestly people who want to abyss dive so bad need to at least get normal diving badges to learn where to find chests.
