This suggestion would help expand on abyssal structures and make them more immersive, as well as making them more reasonable to get out of.
Abyssal structure variants
Trench
These could include small caves in the side of their walls with loot, but would have 1-2 large structures, or 2-5 small structures in them.these trenches would be decently long, ranging from 2-5 large sea structures in length. These would only really be found in open sea, but some could be found sandwiched between islands.Once the trench is looted, it will turn into a different structure, including the normal structures.
Caves
The entrance would usually be found at the sea floor, but also could be found in a special trench type that would have a large cave with not much in the trench itself.Near the cave’s entrance, there would be a few rocks, chests, and some sea life, with 1 of the rocks having a hole leading into the cave.
Caves(open)
These caves would have a small amount of tunnels, and would have a large open chamber with stalagmites and pillars.
Caves(tunnel)
These caves would be largely filled with tunnels, and would have a few small/medium chambers, some of the chambers would be treasure rooms.
Normal structures
These would be the currently existing abyssal structures, but I just want to add that they should have a wall that scales up and a bit outwards, so it appears more natural and is easier to get out of the structures.
Sea life
Some sea monsters will have a chance to replace the normal sharks.(like the anglerfish)
Anglerfish
The anglerfish would behave a lot like the obulus, waiting until you get close to jump out and eat you.The anglerfish would have a 20% chance to be giant, along with a special variant. It would be found in cave chambers, above caves, and in trenches.
Coral Anglerfish
These would be a normal anglerfish, However it’s bulb would look like a luminous coral. It’s bulb would be a bit brighter than actual luminous coral.
Trapjaw
These are small fish similar to piranhas. They can usually be found in small chambers and cave tunnels, either alone or in groups of 2 to 5.They would not have much HP, but would swim towards you somewhat quickly and bite onto you dealing around 100 damage.
Ironfish
A mutated stonefish about the size of a small shark. It’s scales and spines have been affected by the magic energy found in the sea, allowing it to survive the intense pressure of the abyss. This fish is passive, but attacking it will cause it to swim towards you and impale you with one of it’s spines on touch, dealing a small amount of damage and inflicting poison.
