This guild update has basically caused the purge in WoM and now people are complaining and getting upset because of the Infamy system. The problem with this infamy system is that all “light guilds” are forced to act like a dark guild by killing everyone indiscriminately in order to even grow as a guild, causing more people to complain about RKers and having absolute chaos overall.
This is why we need a Virtue system, which is the same type of system as Infamy except you get points for:
- Defeating members of infamous guilds (+1)
- Defeating players that have killed a player without a bounty within a certain time period (+1)
- Defeating a leader of an infamous guild (+5)
- While a region is captured by your guild (when it’s added)
You would lose Virtue points by:
- Killing a player that doesn’t have a bounty (-1)
- Killing a member of another virtuous guild (-1)
- Killing a leader of another virtuous guild (-5)
Of course, it would easier to just kill players indiscriminately and get infamy. This is why after a guild has enough Virtue points it would be funded by the magic council and receive a certain amount of crowns each day, and that amount would grow depending on the more Virtue points you have, balancing the pros between Infamy and Virtue.
This would allow guilds that want to be light guilds to actually be light guilds and do what they’re intended to do by keeping the peace or whatever while keeping the freedom that Infamy has in terms of fighting and not resorting to restricting guilds to only get points for fighting those of another guild.
