back then u could make the argument that “this defeats the whole purpose !!! ur meant to go out of ur way to find them for their rewards !!!” when they were only limited to WOM since the map wasn’t that big and they had preset spawns that u could check out. but in a map as big as the bronze sea its nothing short of TEDIOUS to attempt to locate evander considering these factors :
the fog ao seas have
night time being almost pitch black
there is no preset spawns. he could spawn at the very far north and the game would allow it.
(keep in mind there is still people complaining about not encountering him even once after the update released)
and it wouldn’t even be something impossible to add. the player tracker code could be copied and augmented to track the NPC instead whenever it respawns.
I want the devs to add a system simillar as it is for treasure charts, but for sailing in the bronze sea
So instead of wondering where he is on the entire sea, You only gotta check that specific area
For example: the east southeast edge, and now You know to seek between fort talos and ravenna
fun and games till message tweaks out cause little timmy wanted to lure him out to the dark sea which is against the location code (atleast with the tracker not being on the map u would know that he either despawned, didn’t spawn yet or got lured into the dark sea so u won’t waste hours trying to get to him)
not to mention that his ship isn’t even small so if the hint is something as informative as a direction then might as well add the tracker. no one is gonna miss him unless they are blind anyways
I think even having his bounty poster include information such as “sailing around the North/South/West/East bronze sea” or “sailing near X island” would be a really useful addition
