Aether Magic Damage Multiplier

I thought apocalypse bringer was actually slowing it down a little-

(the only fast aether attack calvus uses in his phase 2 is his charge up blast)

That’s definitely not true. His 20-orb barrage that he does before his Iron Leg slam is also way faster. I think his beam might be, too. Apocalypse definitely sped him up.

…none of those attacks were imbued with apoc bringer though?

(they just looked, like slightly less yellow, but still not apoc bringer blue)

If I remember correctly, the only attack where he defiantly utilized apocalypse bringer was his orbital strike during his 2nd phase

that, and his rapid self explosion where each burst death 75ish damage.

I have reason to believe that strangely, his blast and his gatling attack in his phase 2 was somehow still pure aether magic, but I wonder how it changed forms so quickly…

you think aether is going to have some kind of charge up gimmick like calvus where it can be darker yellow and it slowly builds up into pale yellow and becomes very fast and explosive?

Going off of the other charged move calvus has I assume attacks will start out big but gradually become smaller and faster if you charge them

I kinda wonder how that’s gonna work with imbues…

thermo aether sounds pretty interesting though

Imbued attacks would probably inherit the raw stats and the gimmick, or maybe just the stats if vetex doesn’t want to worry about balancing

if aether is a gradient magic tho what stats are we getting :fearful:

Calvus’ attacks in the second phase look a little greenish. That’s because of yellow + blue

Vetex can be seen using the greenish aether magic, so that isn’t it

I doubt it’s going to actually be a 1.8x multiplier; chances are Vetex probably has cracked gear, but if that I had to guess you might’ve forgotten to take into account:
Power Aura (idk how big of a boost this is)
Charging (1.33x)

Even if we just do charging though that’s ~1.35x

Or maybe, like we discussed earlier, vetex just set his level really high. It was pretty much confirmed that he did this.

different types

Savants only get access to 2 imbues so if you really minmax savant you get

Stun breaking savants where every attack breaks stun (or slow now stun is easier to say)

DoT stacking Savants

High investment in one stat savants (metal iron leg on guns with a metal spirit weapons so everything becomes metal, slow but it will hurt)

Occasional freestyle build that still works together but doesn’t fall into these categories (like spirit poisoned imbued vampirism and vampirism and spirit imbue on everything for that sweet regen as well as poison magic so they don’t regen)

Likely hood savants get lost stuff is if they invest 50% into magic or FS. Ancient likely won’t happen. Lost and ancient stuff will not be inherently stronger but rather be unique IIRC.

I think it would be silly if Aether Magic were green for players, it wasn’t like that in Arcane Adventures or in any other depiction of it. I think Vetex just gave himself second-phase Aether specifically, and will change it when it’s time for players to use it.

I hate yellowish green so if Aether were actually that color normally then my question of “should I get Aether Magic or Slash Magic” wouldn’t even be a question :sob:

the green comes from mixing his curse inheritance (blue and black) with aether (yellow) to make a barfy green aether.
