Agility is broken already. This is a simple fact. However, in the next update, I fear that it’s going to reach an absurd point.
Balance teams have been lobbying for a scaling BUFF, in the same update that will 100% allow us to break the 300 mark of agility, along with the introduction of teleport T jumps and dashes, with reflex dodging as well.
I propose that agility needs a change to scaling such that, at the very least, all the absurd speed is locked to huge agility amounts, rather than metamancing an elius set with agility amulet.
The method is simple. Nerf the formula for how effective agility is, but make it scale linearly, such that 300 agility before the change, and afterwards, are basically the same in effectiveness, but that 150 agility is only half as strong as 300, rather that being quite similar due to logarithm scaling.
This is a change that NEEDS to happen for the health of the game as a whole.
Does kinda seem like itll be easier to invest in good enough agility without sacrificing more power or defense due to Agility Scaling buff AND Dark Sea Armor shenanigans, which admittedly sounds scary
Though as of now, I have 2 Agility focused Warlords, and they’re not that busted imo (mainly because they’re Warlords and 1 of them has a Dagger and Musket which I can’t really aim with), they’re def have a place in Open PvP but I think less effective in Munera PvP
This is still valid concerns, but we shall see when the update drops
SO, I’m going to have to disagree with this, in all honesty.
I thank that, at the moment, agility is in a decent spot, even more-so with the dodge reflexes. I believe that the main problematic stats at the moment are the usual attack size, power, and attack speed. Especially on desynced servers, attack size and power is much more volatile than really anything, as now some attacks that realistically shouldn’t hit will hit anyways. Agility’s never really had much going for it, other than using it to flee hunters.
However, we don’t quite know how much these reflexes will change actually fighting. Like said, you NEED to have a high agility stat to use them, which makes the user miss out on other stats such as attack size. This in itself could be a drawback, though until we see the reflexes in actual dueling action, we cannot quite say agility will be “broken” with them. Time will tell, but where it stands right now, I think nerfs would be quite unnecessary.
