AI imagery*

to train the AI they use art they get from artists but the drawings themselves are different, unless it’s trying to recreate something

example:

The AI created an image or a dragon

No direct copies of the image online (brisk search not very through)

No direct copies but imagery is similar to other art pieces, hence it is (for lack of a better word) inspired by data it’s been fed

fair enough call it what you want but by definition it is art

tl;dr

AI functions like a search engine that automatically browses all websites and provides you with an average of the results, it directly takes without consent the work of authors and artists alike in order to give its user an output.
Think about it as if you’re asking a librarian to summarise the information found in books that you submit; While humanly impossible, they’ll use the content of these books to provide you with it. If done with art and a tool that can be used in any way possible, how is it different from theft?

They are, but they won’t know.

Not at all, a calculator uses a set of rules in order to determine the output from input—it doesn’t refer to a database to tell you the answer.

Blender is a free tool that can be learnt in approximately 8 hours and can be used for the purpose of making logos. I made two.

There is also a wide array of digital drawing or image editing softwares like Krita, Paint.net (this isn’t a website so don’t visit it), and many other web-based tools.

There is a difference between wielding a tool (using a software) and asking someone to do it. With “Artificial Intelligence”, one asks an A.I. to provide a result based on prompts (it’s literally in the name).

I can commission a master sculptor however many times I want, it won’t turn me into them.

The feedback loop which will eventually cause it to funnel towards a singular output:

They do not create, they evaluate the most probable outcome based on the images which come out from the given prompts and proceed to use them to generate text, image, or whatever else there is.
This is the key difference between a tool and an A.I..

Godwin’s law strikes yet again 〒〒.

@Divanochi, please save forum society from this I.F.B..

depends on the language model, the better ones often have broader datasets and don’t usually funnel toward a singular output

so AI uses patterns and probabilities to decide what to make but it doesn’t just copy stuff. it mixes things together in new ways like if it learned about one style and another subject it could combine them into something new it’s not just evaluating. it’s generating images by altering and combining ideas to make something new

damn on a side note thats really funny (i was doing a history assignment and thats why it popped up)

fight fight fight fight

whatever im not paying 20 dollars for an art commision

AI task*

average Divanochi moment of moving threads

I like AI when it’s use for the most random and goofy experimentations and not trying to replace people

personally, im okay with those who use AI for personal purposes, but i hate when they want to sell AI tasks like art and hate those artist who blame AI because in their mind they think AI will ruin their “job” (they usually do trash commisions for 10 dollars wowww)

AI will not replace human art, if you make a pretty good art and improve your personal brand you cant be replaced

I just like using AI chatbots and messing around for no reason
it’s just not when related to school/commissions that it’s okay to use

if anyone here uses ai to make creative works (like character art or something) just learn to draw yourself i can assure you its much more rewarding

too late i already used AI to make my current pfp mwhahaha

good for you i guess…?

And artificial intelligence neither, do you even know how they work?

well tbh, im fine with the result and… i was pretty lazy to draw my ao avatar only for a pfp

The ai needs human input, just like the knife

it’s like telling a robot to cut the bread vs cutting it yourself

i thought your pfp was from some obscure game or something

i dont think that’s a good analogy
