AI Draws Neviro

it didn’t get creative, it ripped thousands of sources and jumbled them together in a soulless fashion

Let’s hope it is

Thanks for the more intellectual argument.

The difference is this: an artist sees individual elements in the creation process, taking those for their own use. They are not taking the end result and passing it off as their own work.

The best example I can give is this: let’s say you see someone else make a painting. Creative liberty would be learning from that painter’s techniques to use in your own work. Theft would be taking a pair of scissors to crop it apart to put it together with other people’s paintings which you’d then sell as your own work. The Ai doesn’t take technique to then make something, it takes people’s end results to then mash together and claim the end image as its own.

it also wasn’t creative in the sense that it most likely identified neviro was to be put in that pose because of similar tagged images but this is just a guess I have knowledge of only the very basics of CS and I can’t take it as a subject because im not allowed

Yeah I’m like 85% sure this is bait

AI pieces do just feel like collages, except you stuck so many things on top of eachother that you can’t see any layer properly anymore

it was just supposed to be a funny image holy shit

Matey, if your first thought when presented an argument is to ask if it’s written by A.I., I’m not going to have much hope for your other points. And no, I didn’t use A.I.; I’ve actually never used ChatGPT before.

Fair point; the implication is there, though.

So… basically the exact same thing? Mind you, the way it gets the materials is from data scraping, often against the artist’s will. That’s where the theft comes in.

Another fair point, but unless if some CEOs get lobotomized, odds are adjusting that system will be extremely difficult, along with being more luck-based than finding Pokerus in a Pokemon game. As you said, some places are offering opt-outs to the A.I. system, but the thing is that it’s an opt-out, rather than an opt-in; if a user, say, loses their password (without any recovery methods) or otherwise goes inactive before the option is available, their work is fodder to the machine. I’ve also heard of some spots like Instagram making it ridiculously hard to opt-out, although that’s going off of what other people say; I don’t use anything other than Bluesky and some furry site for art stuff.

Now, how can it be luck-based? Take into account how a lot of the platforms people use have become near-titans in social media, such as DeviantArt (for art stuff) or Twitter (for general media nonsense). Competitors rely on there being a reason to move away from what’s already there, on top of people being willing to make the move themselves. Remember Threads? No, because it was the big “Twitter killer” for the lifespan of a house fly. There was a reason to move, but not a lot of people were willing to do so, mainly since its reason for serving as a replacement was because of its main guy adding a force-feed A.I. system; that mainly affected artists, which aren’t the supermajority of Twitter’s base.

As for Bluesky, its reason for people to move there was totally not the Twitter guy fucking with the political climate of the world, and people outside of the art crowd were willing to move away; it’s why it’s somewhat relevant still, and why Threads is like my grandma. The point I’m trying to make for this section is that other sites need to pray that their competitors screw up beyond belief so that they can take over.

call it ‘inspiration’. human artists do that too lmfao.

The references the ai used were taken without permission, I’d say it’s theft

inspiration is fundamentally different from splicing

It’s not like you take them into account anyways.

Call it inspiration.

shit can and will happen, whether we like or not AI is already an integral part of our lives lol. adjusting the systems is the best we can do, and best we will do.

if you really want to make a difference, stop ranting about AI art on fucking… arcane odyssey forums  - and go dm some company owner or something, arguing here is just a waste of time i’m getting tired of :cold_sweat:

oh and btw take me calling ur arguement “ai” as a compliment

I really hope you don’t think you know more about AI than the people that have researched it.

See guys, he realised his points were bullcrap, so now he’s calling us stupid and this a waste of time. Heads he wins, tails we lose.

(i didn’t do any of these stuff)
only thing I DID realize is that arguing with yall is just a waste of time
and arguing with ME is a waste of time
since all of us are too fixiated on our raised points

hate all you want, but AI is art lol.

most of your points have been thoroughly disproven by this point.
like before this argument started, people already knew and expected these responses.

no, no they haven’t… they literally haven’t

guys you don’t get it, he decided not to read that part, probably cause it was AI or something

did you like ignore gamehero’s and others’ posts all together
there are so many well put together shit I can’t mention all of them but still

Not the image I believe you there but the argument
