Here’s background: i’ve seen the fire visual rework released recently and couldnt help but notice that the character had an automail for an arm.
I know that is just a sneak peek of the ability to disable arms individually like torso, and i want to develop that further, hence:
Armor mixing
That’s the best way i can name it, but honestly its simpler than that.
Just have an option alongside the other cosmetic toggles like torso and hair named “Stat armor”
While stat armor is disabled, everything works as is. But if you enable stat armor, whenever you disable torso, left arm or right arm, instead of showing the clothing you have (the one you selected at character creation), you’ll have your stat armor show up.
I know it may sound confusing but its the best way i can explain it.
In short, this is just to allow use to mix, say, the arm of one armor with the torso of another.
Things this would make possible:
Custom looking chestpieces (by mixing them)
Partial Armor (like having an armor torso with cloth arms)
Better combos for hybrid builds (like mixing fighting torso with mage robe arms to make that martial cultivator drip)
Arms prosthetics (by using heavy armor sets display only one arm)
i like the concept, i just dont think the limitation to stat armor is necessary
frankly id mostly if not only use it to have a 2d shirt item, not default clothes, alongside armored arm(s) which isnt possible rn and generally wouldnt be possible with that suggestion either unless you got hella weird stat armor
In all honesty i’d also just want for us to have 2 vanity chestpiece slots, but whenever i make a suggestion i tend to stick to the stuff we have rn… gotta make it as plausible as possible
