What?
So we can already take Silverhold for a ton of Infamy, but when it comes to the Assassin Syndicate, that much Infamy wouldn’t make much sense. However, it would be quite interesting if through similar means, we were able to lower the Influence of the Assassin Syndicate and manage Whitesummit and by proxy, the Sponsors, giving our clan treasury a boost per Contract or Poster fulfilled. We’d also gain bonus Infamy for each hunt fulfilled.
Why?
Because it simply dosen’t make sense that while the Grand Navy and Assassin Syndicate are two presumably on-par organizations in terms of power, only one can have its base surrendered. It also opens the door for some interesting events to happen when the Grand Navy acquires Whitesummit — say, massive corruption leading to consistent violent overreach meaning misdemeanors like property damage can give even a Hero 5 stars of Notoriety.
Id say adding another achievement and title for each sea like, “____ sea lawman/ ____ sea deputy” would be cool
The only issue here is that there isn’t something like the navy influence system in place for the syndicate/criminal activity
Instead of making something wholly different I’d add another tier similar in distance from very high influence as dangerously low is in the opposite direction, and when that tier is met the text in deep blue appear in chat saying “rule of law in this sea is absolute” then making the criminal hideout and assassin base claimable.
the power of one organization doesnt directly equate to the power of another
for example if a nuclear war were to break out between russia and the us then both countries would be destroyed, hence ‘mutually assured destruction’
I mean yeah… but the near dissolution of power of the gravy in a sea would… definitely not harm the assassin syndicate and other criminals hiding out on the island. Keeping in mind that assassin bases aren’t just assassin bases but also safe havens for criminals in their respective sea.
I thought of this because it’s the solution which would probably require the least amount of effort an ui development on the part of the developer working on it compared to some other separate system
