What better way to do a hand reveal than when your skin is dry and literally falling apart!

I meant like from the cold, my hands were dry and irritated from the cold so i poured water over them and rubbed them together a bit, and they were basically fine afterwards
this is more than just from the cold

Oh wow I actually have a very similar thing with my own hands, it’s not at all a lack of moisture because even with things like moisturizer it would not change. Worse during the winter on average but not by much.
I too have an experience with the dryness of the hand.
It shows up from time to time, more prominently in the winter, but I just have this hand moisturizer that I know works so I just apply that once and it’s gone.
It could be that the moisturizer you tried just didn’t work, maybe try some others.
I’ve tried many, and literally the cheapest and simplest one works best for me for some reason.
Not always the case, though probably for the majority yes. Personally I have a minor skin condition that makes it act like it does, not really a way to get rid of it to my knowledge except for an over-counter prescribed skin ointment from a dermatologist.
I get dry legs and arms.
