How do you not look at the nazi uniform and only see the blood from what they did.

Its like… if its a reenactment, I can understand. Someone has to play them. But saying they look good… They were monsters, monsters who wanted people like me dead. How anyone can see anything but monsters is nothing short of strange.

i see that, but i think the symbolism is important when assessing things like this. beautiful symbolism can elevate a piece to an even greater level than its looks alone and turn it into a masterpiece. what these symbolise though is completely rancid and brings down their drip level massively

I get that, but it’s still what the uniforms mean. I don’t know how you can look at those uniforms and separate that from the psychopaths who wore them.

The drip itself? I’m taught to fear it. For a goddamn reason. I see the iron cross, black lightning bolts, a swastika, I know I’m not safe. That is what it means. It doesn’t matter if it looks good to some people, it’s meaning, what it stands for, makes it something that you shouldn’t like.

debatable, meanings aren’t really that important for drip so much as how well shapes, colours, patterns, etc work together to make something look. take for example this suit of armour

it looks amazing but what if those symbols were to be replaced with a nazi logo. the meaning would be much more vile but in terms of looks it’d be the same. meaning and looks are infact two different things so aslong as you aren’t praising the meaning of the uniform nazi’s wore i don’t see what’s wrong with saying their fit is good

i can guarantee if they didnt commit all the horrific things they did the amount of people youd see saying this would be nonexistent so no (theyre not particularly special uniforms people just say it to be shocking. not accusing you obvs but yk)

edit: oh yeah as loki said these outfits and everything on them are symbols of fear and violent oppression and i think going “this is good drip” to that is weird at best

whether something is visually appealing or not is only part of determining if something is beautiful or good. this suit of armour for instance could be covered in the symbols of a certain house or kingdom. the devotion and loyalty it would show then of the knight who wore it would be beautiful, giving the armour meaning and a purpose. conversely, if it were covered in swastikas it would indicate allegiance to a corrupt regime and a cruel-hearted man behind the helmet. there is no beauty in such symbolism. if you want to only care about if something is visually appealing then go ahead, but you’ll be missing half the picture

I should probably specify here i like ww2 drip in general, the question is more if i specifically have to dislike nazi drip despite it being pretty similar to other military officer uniforms at the time

the only axis member with actually good uniforms was italy btw

if their military was as good as their uniforms they might have even managed to win a battle
