So far in the game, what we could mostly consider as a weapon for vitality is the net launcher attachment. Now what’s weird is that out of all the attachments, it’s the only one that stuns.
Now to understand attachments better, they bear some of the path’s gimmick:
Throwing harpoons have short cooldowns because just like fighting styles, they spam attacks to deal combos.
Swivel guns get magic-imbued shots since just like magic, they’re supposed to fight with magic.
Harpoon guns are pretty much a combination of throwing harpoons and swivel guns because just like a weapon, it’s the in between of magic and fighting style and harbors a part of both paths. Making weapon route as the flexible class or mixed route, as it is officially classified as.
Now that you’re all given some context behind the three attachments and how each one explains a path very well, net launcher becomes the odd one out.
Net launchers are able to stun sea monsters with only just a single m1. The reason why net launchers doesn’t drain the user right now despite pretty much acting as a spirit weapon is because as the trello said it:
M1 attacks aren’t abilities.
Now Im probably just overthinking it but the reason why it drains hp of vitality path is because it somehow involves in controlling movement of your enemies. What do you all think?
Oh yeah, just as the trello said it, spirit weapons are supposed to be unique out of all the things that could be used to attack and just like attachments, net launcher is the only one unique compared to the rest
Holy crap, never interpreted net launchers ingame as something that “captures” and just something that stuns. Capturing your enemies, now that sounds painful in pvp so I guess them draining their hp acts as a balance in that sense
Remember that you exhange your health for this stuff. And it doesnt have to be just “stuns”, just “debuffs” with stun possibly being one of them. Using more indirect means to defeat the enemy.
