I think this is a good idea that makes sense with the theme of warrior.

good remedy for the problem of warriors being absolutely fucked over by limbloss as opposed to other classes, but still would be slightly unfair to them if they actually lose both hands

exactly, at that point you are better of just resetting. Even the galleon loss is less expensive than it would be to find those reagents.
every skill animation would need to have a mirrored version + 1 handed versions for 2 handed animations and for dual weapons itd be hard to implement in an efficient and modular way, itd be cool but seems unreasonable from a coding perspective
i think the way limb loss works in the first place is bad game design and could easily be replaced by just giving a “severe injury” status that makes you bleed heavily or something
