you know this just now…?
I’ve known this for a while
did you not know this already
Just another day on the arcane odyssey forums
Average day in greece
how did you not know
I guess you could say Greek soldiers were the first ones to slay
Input drums for comedic effect
“uhm actually some animals display homosexual behaviour so that means they were the first ones to slay”
“The Greeks invented orgies but the Roman’s added women to them”
these woke romans had to ruin everything
This is a strange case for me
While homosexuality was a thing in Ancient Greece, it was mainly with teenage boys. 2 Gay Adult men with considerable social status was still not accepted. Despite all that, there’s Greek Heroes and whatnot with men lovers so idk what exactly is their point of view on LGBTQ+
It was also known that there were gay relationships during mentorships in Ancient Greece, which is a big no-no as adult men were being intimate with teen boys, which is clearly wrong. Also, from my knowledge, I believe gay relations were also happening within the upper-class/politicians, but only with a small few. Generally, being gay was widely regarded as looked down upon, especially with anyone underneath the upper-class, so politicians had to have wives in order to hold up an image
It’s all a doozy because Ancient Sources are built to not be so reliable
