Preparation
What You’ll Need
-
Brewing and Jewelcrafting skill of level 7 or higher
- If you can’t do that, you can ask other players to do it for you
-
Max level
-
A Brig ship
Early Preparation
A lot of the required stuff to start ironically costs a lot of drachma. In order to get those drachma, you’ll need to hustle for a while.
There’s 2 ways you can choose to prepare
1 - Clearstone and Whale Blubber
- Go to the caves of Mount Orthys in the Nimbus Sea and destroy the spikes for clearstone
- Use a harpoon ship attachment or spells to defeat whales for whale blubber
- Sell the clearstone for 400–500 each, and sell whale blubber for 800–1100 each on the in-game auction house
2 - Deckhand Merchant
Make sure you’re in a party for this.
- Get a deckhand and make them a Merchant
- Sail your ship to the north end of the Pelion Rift. Place a camp marker on the stone
- Sail your ship towards the Dark Sea and reset character
- Dock your ship and buy a bunch of growth sap, notebooks, and other valuable stuff from your merchant deckhand
- Sell the growth sap for 150–250 drachma each, and sell the notebooks for 400–500 each on the in-game auction house
- This isn’t bug abuse
If people aren’t buying what you’re selling, try lowering the price.
Fleets
Fleets
Fleets generate passive income. When you have nothing to do, growing your fleet is 100% a great option.
You’ll need to get all of your deckhands to dedicated loyalty, and you’ll also need a pretty good Brig for sea combat.
Finish the Edward Kenton fleet quest first.
Deckhands
- To get deckhands to dedicated loyalty, simply look at what they are wearing and gift them those accessories and clothes over and over again
- Do NOT dismiss a fleet ship if your ship doesn’t have enough space for another member, the deckhand will be voided.
Choosing Ships
-
Sink every ship you see in the Nimbus Sea to increase your follower count
-
Don’t add stuff like sailboats to your fleet, since they’re expensive to maintain for their low profit
- I recommend adding ketches or brigs
-
When assigning deckhands, do it in order of low to high priority
Configuring the Fleet
Your deckhand will send you messages about where you should go to configure the fleet.
- At least 50% of your ships should be on recover (to prevent desertion), with 1-2 ships on plunder/patrol
- Set your fleet to Maximize Profit
Upgrading Your Fleet
- Try to upgrade all the fleet task levels to 100%
- To level up a specific task (like harvesting), you can do a setup like: 2 recover, 1 plunder/patrol, 1 harvesting
Diving
Diving
Tip: Do this while your fleet is working
Potions to Use While Diving
Know that you can only use 2 potions at once.
Water Breathing Potion from Auric Seaweed
- If you don’t have auric seaweed, buy it (recommended) or dive for it
Revealing Potion from Growth Sap
- You can get growth sap by just breaking a bunch of trees
- If you have a merchant deckhand, they likely sell this
Luck V Aura Potion
This can SIGNIFICANTLY increase your profit. I highly recommend you get it when you get richer.
This is made with legendary fish scales + Dark Sea essentia.
- Make sure it’s brewed in a gold cauldron (found in Dark Sea)
Getting the Sea Diving Gear (Optional)
-
You’ll need the following:
- 10–13 musgravites
- stormsalt (gives swimming speed) and/or auric seaweed (gives water breathing)
-
You can choose to do 25 stormsalt 25 seaweed, or 50 in one reagent
-
Craft your musgravites with those reagents
- If you have level 10 Jewelcrafting, you can combine the stormsalt and auric seaweed into one jewel
-
Add the gems to armor of your choice (recommend high defense and some power; range or dexterity etc. isn’t required here)
Execution
- Equip your diving gear
- Join a luck party or make your own Luck V Aura potion
- Consume the water breathing potion, then the revealing potion
- Dive into sea structures. The deeper you go, the better items you’ll find
- Collect seaweed as you dive
- Be mindful of stamina and air management. Remember that swimming back up also needs stamina
Doing the Treasure Charts
You’ll probably have a ton of treasure charts after diving.
- Make a dedicated slot for your treasure charts. The treasure chart with the closest location will always be there
- Get a Fortune Platinum Shovel and a Marking/Goldsight Gold Shovel
- Use the “Explorer’s Intuition” feature if you have it on the map
Raiding
Raiding
- Raiding is still very new, so there’s not much here. However, it can get you a lot of drachma and useful stuff for farming. Try to raid Kraken/Omen with friends
- I’m working on a raid locator bot in the Sunfish Village Discord that I plan to make available to all servers as soon as it’s in a good state
Tips and Mastery
Tips and Mastery
By the time you master this, you should be able to dive 300m+ deep without any trouble and consistently do treasure charts and sea charts.
- If you can’t find ships to sink, simply server hop
- Make a dedicated slot for Treasure Charts in your pouch with the Make Dedicated Slot button. The slot will always hold the closest treasure chart location
- Legendary chests guarantee 90k drachma + an acrimony
Trading Tips
-
It’s a good idea to create a throwaway Discord server just for yourself to put trading ideas, post styles, plans, etc.
-
Always let people offer first unless you’re offering for an item they have. If you’re offering for an item they have, ask them specifically what they want for it to lower your chances of overpaying
-
Watch the prices on the Discord marketplace channel and don’t rely on a value list. This is how I knew the Acrimony dropped from 120k to 30k in just a week
-
Take inspiration from what rich traders are posting on the marketplace. Copy their post style (right-click message → copy text), then improve it and use it with your own items that you’re trading
-
Make sure your post is easy to read and isn’t too specific
-
Compete with other traders
Other Tips
- Try to do the daily quests and log in every day
