Also, out of genuine curiosity: In AO’s current timeline, which is 1854, would homosexuality be accepted or would it be condemned/criminalized?
100% condemned and criminalized, the UK forced Alan Turing into Chemical Castration as recent as the 1950s when they found out he was gay and in a relationship
Turing later died by his own hands due to this and was only pardoned by the Queen in 2013 and later 2016 where other people who was convicted of the same law was pardoned
As surprising as it is, it is still very recent regarding acceptance of LGBTQ, I believe the US struck down on Same Sex Marriage Ban on 2015 for the whole United States. There’s also plenty of countries who still criminalized it

Well no I personally don’t believe it would be criminalized in the Arcane World, I just theoretically compared Arcane 1854 to IRL 1854

No, it’s highly unlikely they would given world history and especially the time of when Prometheus was around ppl were pretty gay in all parts of the world. Going as far back as Mesopotamia and beyond, it varied between being open and normal, kept mostly hush hush/ignored, and of course punished in seemingly a fair amount of instances ig.
and since we’re going off Ancient Greece ftmp you cannot forget about Sparta, they were very openly gay and even incentivized being so. And it’s likely they were around when Prometheus gave humans magic and i don’t think things changed too much but who knows.
Well the AU does follow fairly similarly to the history of Greek and Norse mythology it seems so it already by default doesn’t follow our world much, and even then it wouldn’t have been unusual for the time. It’s just now being largely accepted ftmp and open again nowadays.
Plus there’s the whole world altering events so i doubt ppl would be remotely concerned or still hold strong on their beliefs too much.
