We know it’ll just give it back to you, or add it to a list when you forget them, but.. here’s a small list of questions on.. how?
ㅤ
ㅤ
ㅤ
I: Will it give it to people who join the update with them already equipped? Or will it be if they used it in general?
For example: Say I used Construct and Javelin and then forgot those before the update came out, will I not get those? And then say I used Hasta before the update came out, then forgot it when it did, will THAT work?
ㅤ
ㅤ
II: Will it automatically give all of the scrolls for spells a player had equipped before changing their magic via hecate/gamepass?
For example: Say I change from fire to plasma, but forgot to.. forget..[1] Annihilation, will it still give them to me? Do I have to forget all my spells in the middle of I3 while an atlantean is actively turning my spine into a belt? Am I gonna spend thousands of robux just to delete all my spells again like it used to?
ㅤ
ㅤ
ㅤ
ㅤ
III: Will this have a cost.
I don’t really need an example here, it’s a question EVERYBODY wants to ask I’m sure.. WILL this have a downside? Like, is it going to gut our maxHP or something, will it be some genie thinking and make it permanently lock a spell slot for it.. Or cost galleons[2] to buy them back? IS there a general “BUT” to this?? Especially seeing how it’s arcane odyssey, there has to be some sort of downside here we aren’t told about. [3]

IV: …how? (Sure, re-asking a question here, but this one’s different, I promise.)
How will we get them back? Does it put the scroll back in our inventory? Is it a separate list? Is it a permanent slot lock like I asked in question 3? [4]

I think it’d be cool if it’s a grimoire you carry around, full of various little jokes and research notes regarding the scrolls you have so far (maybe also base spells?), it’d be interesting to learn more about the origins of spells and how they came to be.
(Hell, maybe this could show you more in depth knowledge about your spells too, such as damage falloff with explosion/blast size, or amount, stuff like that.. Who WOULDN’T write this down somewhere?)
not a tester but since they probably can’t leak this ill give my thoughts-
probably? doesn’t seem like an oversight they’d make, and if they did make the oversight then bringing it up will let them fix it before the update releases and they get backlash over it
50/50, you may need scrolls for each magic so learning a different one may still erase your scrolls, or it could be tied to the character rather than magic or it could be tied to the slot rather than the specific magic (so slot 1, slot 2, slot 3), but im speculating (and hoping) that its just tied to the character
this one i can confidently assume no (other than using up the scroll to learn the spell permanently)
when you click on the menu to make a new spell and you see the list of the base spells, they’ll be added into that list, likely with indicators showing they are rare or lost rarity
i believe they said this but im too lazy to find the patch note
