Steps to Berserker Gameplay by Rotisserie
There a couple Berserker techniques I can tell you about, too. First of all, when I say “be aggressive” I don’t mean bum rushing at your enemy while they try to widen the distance and shooting out all of your attacks. Stay close to your enemy and when they try to scare you away with an attack of their own, hit them with a rushdown.
Another technique I’ve used is something like air camping, but not even half as scummy as it might sound. Doesn’t matter if you have high agility or not(although, if you have above 100 this will be way harder.)
Basically, you have to be decently close to your enemy/in dodge reflex range, and camp ABOVE them, hoping that they’ll T-Jump up to you. Use a shockwave smash while you’re directly above them. If you want to play it safe, first use axe slash or shot(your choice), and then go ahead and use the shockwave smash. This usually works, and it’s not very risky either. Just don’t be repetitive.
Right, DO NOT be repetitive. By that I mean predictable. If your enemy can anticipate what move you’ll use next, even if that move lands, eventually they’ll figure you out and start winning. Refrain from using combo strings over and over again, like crash+shockwave smash. I also recommend having two rushdowns, one that sends your enemy UP and the other that sends your enemy DOWN. This can be accomplished with an uppercut finisher*
Follow the uppercut finish up with an axe slash, a shot, or a crash. If you are using sailor fist as your MAIN style, I recommend using the crash follow up. If it’s iron leg, eerr… don’t listen to what I just said.
-As an alternative, you can keep your one sledgehammer finish rushdown and instead of using a smash attack to follow it up, use an axeslash-shot combo. It’ll basically do the same thing, but it’ll still leave room for predictability. Pretty hard to punish it either way.
