Hi guys, sorry for not uhm being active on my own topic but I bet none of you care anyway haha. Anyways I’m done friering and I gotta admit this anime really lived up to my expectations, it was a fun, fantasy and magic oriented story that really got me hooked in (no wonder I finished it this quickly while fishing) because of likeee the slice of life 
moments, the fantasy aspect overall characters being really interesting, like frieren herself or stark (fern didn’t peak me any interest besides she being a prodigy at magic or smth). Also really loved the adventure/ journey overall, it reminds me of classic db in a way.
I did say a lot of good stuff but there is some things I didn’t enjoy like the constant flashbacks that js removed the vibe of certain scenes imo or the fact that the pacing is awfully slow, like I know it’s only 28 episodes but we get like 4-5 episodes where it’s js them straight up walking and doing nothing ‘interesting’ at all it does get a lil better towards the end tho I gotta say that. Also didn’t like how stark was forgotten towards the uhh exam arc or smth like I know it’s supposed to be a mage only thing or smth so it would be more interesting but I really like him, I started getting hooked after he was introduced. Last thing I hated was the Sein priest dude js showing up for 3 episodes then leaving like bro why waste his character
Anyways that’s uhhhhh abt it my little review on frieren i’ll give the anime a solid 8 bcuz I really enjoyed it lmao, ALSO for some uhhm weird reason I kept thinking heiter or himmel would turn out to be evil or manipulative IDK WHY I THINK I READ TOO MUCH BERSERK

Witch Hat Atelier, only ~80 chapters rn but I find it extremely enjoyable. It has a really well done drawing based magic system and the art is AMAZING. The artist is wonderful at working with the border of panels and often incorporates them into her art or just stylizes it.

if your good with psychological horror and stuff i would highly recommend re:zero, it’s my favorite anime of all time and the 2nd cour of season 3 comes out in about 2 weeks
as for others:
- toradora is my 2nd favorite anime, also a pretty good romance
- bocchi the rock is just a good slice of life all around
- konosuba is funny if your chill with a certain brand of humor

I’m really passionate about Fire Punch, the manga is so full of life and love for life, the desire to live even on fire is the absurdist fantasy Albert Camus strives for at times, this manga is a one and go, it doesn’t do anything else but tells you to keep going.
it is purely fantastical and whimsical in how it is, with Togata, the Ice Witch and everybody else desiring some kind of “joke” funny thing but its so genuine and so real, kind of relatable.
The love I get from Togata’s movies especially got me started on watching more movies and commenting on them, I’ve started desiring cinematography and sound mechanics in films now because of Togata.
I believe truly, Fire Punch is a story about living in a literal sense.

I liked the part where Jack took the camera girl and San in, and they think they’re about to get tortured, but it turns out Jack is a chill guy and all they have to do is take care of his dogs.
I don’t get what earned “I might get banned” for this though Like is fire punch some insane propaganda or brainwashing thing??
it delves into a lot of adult topics and from my experience I just get banned often whenever I try to have any form of discussion about it, even if its a study of the actual literature instead of me saying all the “dark parts” about it.
it is really a good example of the difference between what a shounen and seinen is, everytime I have to mention it I’d have to “Im not like a freak or anything and I dont enjoy this book just because its dark” and go on an entire tangent on why I should treat the bible as literature in itself, myth.
to say, it references a lot of mature topics and could be really offensive to some, it could be hard to get into because of that…
