I recently got my hands on an acrimony, and I’m trying to get a ssword, I know for a fact people can trade up to it, but does anyone know how?
Tips would be appreciated

Don’t, trading is lame.
Increasing your inventory’s value by trading is pretty much about scamming little children, which is even worse.
I thought that you were better than this, Mr_ModifierHater.
Ok true
But I want he wet sword, and I’m not saying a direct trade up, I’m saying actually trading with other people who are willing to sacrafice a bit of value to get what they want
add an old boot to the trade.
im not a good trader but if it’s on forums your going to have to add.
Try to trade someone with multiple swords and less acrimony if any
i don’t know if it would be better to trade a weapon build or another build but if it is enchanted you prob wont be able to get it
basically make them feel like they could give one up for something they don’t have
If a person is willing to give me a sunken iron item in exchange for an acrimony, even though it’s like a third more valuble since they want to become a paladin, why wouldn’t I do it
I don’t think you guys understand
I don’t want to trade from acrimony directly to sunken sword, I’m saying acrimony to something a bit more valuble than acrimony on repeat until I can get a sunken sword
ok house flipping then. the same strategy applies where hopefully they don’t have any acrimony but multiple helmets or pants (you’re not getting an armor unless they are desperate).
First try to offer for the SW helmet if they have a lot of that. if it gets accepted you got lucky if not then trade for the SI helmet and pray it works.
usually works better if you have adds.
let say first you offer for the SI helm, but get declined. if you have some enchants like powerful or armored, and maybe brisk or explosive, you can try to add those after being declined in better hopes of getting a helmet.
after getting a helmet you want to do the same process for chest or ss, or maybe a more valuable item
I don’t think focusing on trying to trade up is a good idea, especially if you don’t do much trading. Try farming items that have decent value (enchants, items from bosses, Sky Island reagents and pumpkins, clearstone and coal) and build up over time. Vendor items that aren’t going to sell (pre-crafted jewels that don’t have perfect secondary stats, excess equipment (be sure to check your boat items too), though I like to keep some for vanity). You’ll slowly but surely get enough value without needing to worry about making big gains when trading.
When trading, you want to buy from people that don’t need what you’re buying, and sell to people that need what you’re selling. For example, someone with 1 golden apple probably isn’t stockpiling them for crafting, but someone with 60 might be. A new character likely needs galleons for brigs and deckhands, or basic equipment for them and their ship, more than they need the various items they picked up from chests, and so you can buy from them.
Be open to negotiation. Always be polite - if you think someone is lowballing you, don’t assume that they’re some malevolent tr*der that is looking to steal candy from babies, just say the deal isn’t good enough. Don’t walk away flat out either, they may come up to where you want them to be. If someone expresses interest in your items, ask for some time to look through their inventory, see if there’s anything you want. If you see something you want that is higher value (I do this for non-egg seasonals), it reflects well on you if you ask if the item is up for grabs before sending an offer.
Be aware of what you are trading. Double check your trades every time, make sure nothing is missing every time, make sure the weapons have their skills every time. There are people that will try to scam you (actual scamming, not “they traded me 1000 value when my items were worth 1001” scamming), and you need to be on the lookout. Don’t trust anything outside the trade system, it is not secure.
everyone’s 13+ at least bro
go to the discord trust
even better join in the game and people who don’t know values will be there so you can get just a tiny bit more
but if they don’t know values it changes their perception on an acrimony
no + it doesn’t matter it remains scamming

If you can find a desperate elysium dweller then theres a decent chance theyll offer a ssword or some hw seasonals for it and then you can work your way up to a ssword
Speaking of which, are there any reliable ways to find elysium servers
Not as far as ik but if youre trying to find a trade in them then thatll be hard. Instead, try finding trades on vetcord that can make you a profit off of that acri and then work your way up to a ssword. Maybe youll find an pvper in vetcord willing to trade their ssword for your acri directly
Ty nuclearman
Nevermind I just realized I have no idea what to do if I find a trade in vetcord
trade up in small increments, stat with for example 1 acrimony for 3 armored, then trade the 3 armored to 2 powerful
and so on and so forth
farm a lot of powerfuls and armoreds
How exactly do I do that
Grind dark sea and open the dark sealed chests with luck 4 or 5
