trying to get sailor fist is almost impossible with the lackluster of sharks spawning in. Any Advice?

A tactic I used with cryo when he was trying to get it was Sail around, and occasionally stop to check below the water. Eventually we’d find a shark and kill it.
I was exploring around and there was a megalodon sitting half out of the water. I stopped the boat and then shot it with guns until it died.
I know one time I was exploring and I found a poison jaws in the water. For some reason it froze in the water so I kicked it to death with my iron leg.
