Anyone else think airstep/leap ability is useless?

Until v1.14, airstep is indeed a bit redundant, but the v1.14 changes will make it on par w/ leap.

The clue is in the name “airstep” you can use it in midair

I use it to get back on my ship after jumping off in the middle of the ocean.

That’s about the only thing I use it for. Since you can’t T jump in water and finding the correct angle to climb the ship is annoying. With leap, you just tap one key and you boost yourself up and out of the water.

me with high ping, it’s hard to tell whether the T jump signal went through.
and also leap spell is faster than T jump.

Also, no, leap is not useless, in fact, I’d say it’s more useful than mode and snare. Getting above your opponent is absolutely vital in PVP. Even if you don’t PVP, it’s still useful for traversing the map, getting out of the ocean, and getting into the air if you’re out of stamina.

Sure, here’s another fellow who thinks the same. You may go through the post to get an idea of what people think of the vertical mobility skill use, but long story short, majority believe its useful (including me).

its the only good out of combat mobility
well except crash but it depends on your fighting style and the cooldown is too long to chain them

i dont really use it much in combat but i dont pvp and ive got the bad habit of avoiding being in the air

with leap i get extra 500 stamina
i can cross from ravenna to sailors swimming
with no water breathing
