Anyone know what Lost and Ancient Magics are planned?

you can just go to the list of all confirmed magics by vetex topic to find all the magics that used to be on the list tho

on another note, I did find this topic, which is quite interesting

(probably nothing on there is actually cannon, but some ideas do sound strangely similar to a few dev curses back in AA)

Flare and aether are likely confirmed, and will likely be the first two. I want poison lightning or star though, maybe healing if im playing mage

iirc Calvus has Aether Magic too.

calvus just has aether magic normally, his grandfather had the apocalypse bringer curse, which calvus imbues into his aether magic

in due respect nearly none of this information is correct.

Calvus’s curse inheritence is a sort of afterglow on his aether attacks, which is apoc. bringer. Calvus’s grandfather did not only not have the light curse, but the light curse was likely in the seven seas during his lifetime, Calvus’s grandfather had the apoc bringer curse.

Aether is a lost magic btw.

Flare, Aether, Inferno, Apoc, Darkness and Shatter can all be assumed to be planned due to

  • Iris
  • Calvus
  • Warren
  • Nero
  • Kessler
  • Vetex lmao
    Respectively. (Also possibly cloud but that wasn’t on the original list)

It’s just now that I’m realising Calvus having aether foils Boreas owning the darkness curse
And also slash and wave exist ig

Balance magic should be scrapped, that seems way too unnatural. Magic energy damages indiscriminately, there is no reason it should be picking between fame and bounty.
Sacrifice magic seems decent, but it’s kinda of sticking out. Most magics apply effects to their targets, so kind of strange this one would backfire but it’s fine I guess.
Death magic should be more of a high-damage than literal dark arts, since its up to every persons choice how they use their magic.
Diamond magic is basically crystal magic, I don’t see why it would be separate.
Wave magic is also an interesting one, but I don’t see how it would work, seems possibly op. You just throw a javelin or a surge, the other player soon can’t do anything to defend themselves.
Healing and life magic are both interesting, but they also stick out. There should be some way to use them offensively, perhaps “draining” health and life from one to open up their old wounds.
But hey this is just my view.

In the webcomic, life could be used to amplify pain from other attacks, maybe something like that could be implemented

Yeah, that was a cool concept
Perhaps life and healing could “undo” themselves, causing wounds to open up again, as well as amplify one’s senses causing them to feel more pain
