Glad I never had hope for the game releasing, Idk why but seeing the trailer and the fact that it was Hypixel devs made me believe it was just gonna fizzle away slowly.
Reminds me of Examina which is this cool dungeon crawler medieval game with physics based combat, but the developer doesn’t want the full game to be a dungeon crawler. The multi-layered dungeon is the prelude to the main game, which is supposed to be a big open world. 10 years and we still haven’t seen the light of day that’ll be in the main game. 10 years and only 2 of the 6 magic branches are complete. 10 years and there’s like 1 boss (maybe he added another but I stopped checking up on the game.)

I remember this one episode from the YouTube channel Extra Credits about a concept called Minimal Viable Product. Watching Hytale’s development and scope creep, I thought about it more and more. It’s been clear for years that what they were doing was way too much for the team to handle in a timely and reasonable manner. Glad they’ve been slapped back on track.

I remember hearing about this game when I was but a wee lad. it getting pushed out the door as a broken mess is sad but its probably what’s best at this point and certainly better than it being cancelled altogether
