finally got the true captain badge after a series of extraordinarily awful luck (i got struck by lightning 5 times and still lived this one, thanks vetex.) but on the voyage i came across a pretty strange sight
ive never see anything like this before. if you cant see it, all these gold piles have like 2-4 chests on them, and they were scattered across the island alongside the normal structures and atlanteans. theres nothing about this on the wiki and i dont think ive seen a post about it on here. have any of you seen this/does anyone know what exactly this is? it was nice to see something new, at the very least
My friends and I have been there once, there’s a bunch of ghost NPCs there too that talk about how their captain led them to their demise in the dark sea so all their treasure is there and whatnot
going based off of a very vague memory though since our goal was to loot and then run back since the island was huge and the water poisoning did not help
thats pretty interesting if your memory serves right. i never talked to the ghosts since i was kind of befuddled by the whole thing. plus i wasnt risking my 6th lightning strike so i was kinda scrambling to get out.
I found that last night. It’s the rarest island right now because it has a bunch of loot. I think looting it completely would take 20 minutes at the least.
I think the way pirate islands work is like this: when spawning in a plains biome (since I’ve only seen it in plains) it checks for a very rare chance of it being a pirate island and adds the gold piles and treasure along the already existing island, so its kind of an add on when the island generator is checking boxes or something
this is the best island LOL
it has so many chances to drop a rare scroll or anything from crates and shit
with the new update changing chests to only a singular chest pool you could get anything
