Actually, they didnt say that MC’s past isnt gonna entirely unknown as a placeholder for the player. They actually said the exact opposite, that its actually important to the story, who they were and what they do. Its just thats its gonna be left to us to put the pieces together rather than making a whole chapter dedicated to info-dumping the full thing. Its still relevant.

So MC still have an important backstory, but still enough room to make us fill in the gaps.

Also, it was actually Tech’s interpretation that MC would have Lightning. Probs based off of what’s written about their character, since Tech is the one who gives the backstory and character arc ideas. He had a hand in Morden’s and noted the one he likes the most was the duality between the two. So it makes sense that Tech would have an interpretation for their canon magic.

Hmm, yeah. I could argue that having a canon magic still works though, since its likely symbolises things that we will go through in the story, and their connections to the Gods.

Sadly, I never got the chance to ask my own question, which was “AO MC lost their memories so that theyre the same as the player in the game. Would this still apply to the story of AO as a book series? Or would the MC remember everything from the start?”, something like that.

Level Transfer Game Pass

What is it? Put simply, this gamepass will allow you to transfer your levels to an empty file, essentially having the levels maxed. This will allow you to skip the main storyline grind that comes with Arcane Odyssey.
