Andre grabbed Jinhao by the collar and thrusted him against a wall. His brows furrowed, teeth clenched in anger.
“Why did you hesitate? I know you’re more than capable of handling a few small fries, yet you just let them go?”Nothing.The room fell silent, only the trickling of water from a nearby leakage could be heard echoing. Jinhao remained mute, his fluffed hair acted as a shield against his gaze. Andre strengthened his grip, frustrated.
“Something’s bothering you, it’s obvious. Jinhao, you have to tell me what’s going on—““Andre.”
His grip loosened as Jinhao spoke. His voice trembled, albeit slightly.“Are we truly just? Or are we mere puppets strung along the stage, acting in the name of ‘justice’?”
