This is a thread about which characters you would give each title to, EXCLUDING THE MC. This isn’t supposed to be a statement, just a thread to express your own opinion and preferably reasons aswell.
So just read the titles I listed below, and think of any character we meet throughout the storyline you would give these titles to (you can come up with your own aswell).
I don’t mind anyone having their debates as long as it remains respectful and doesn’t turn into a dumb argument.
ANYWAYS
Who is Arcane Oddysey’s:
•Most interesting character?
•Character with the most potential?
•Most important character?
•Most likeable character?
•Most sympathetic antagonist character?
•Strongest character?
•Most tragic character?
•Most mysterious character?
•Most realistic character? (In terms of personality and actions not abilities or occupation)
Bonus: Who’s your personal favourite character?
Mine are the Caesar brothers(mostly Revlon) and Neviro.
hmmm. hard to say. morden could go a lot of different ways throughout the story, and we have no idea what the experiments did to him. probably say him.
neviro easily
probably morden
ruby roger
if revon becomes an antagonist he wins
idk who else all the others are shitheads
maybe elius
•Most interesting character?
The player and morden, everyone else is: Irrelevant/alredy revealed/stupid
•Character with the most potential?
Neviro, bro needs some moment to shine
•Most important character?
Morden, without him we wouldnt be alive + he has the death curse
•Most likeable character?
Morden! such a lovable guy, cares about the main character and the gang and is our best friend since the start
•Most sympathetic antagonist character?
None. i hate all of them
•Strongest character?
Commodore Kai or Architect Merlot
•Most tragic character?
Neviro
•Most mysterious character?
Randal, he is been around from before the fight between Theos and Durza and knows everything in the world, wrote several books on important being in history all that while being a fucking tree
•Most realistic character? (In terms of personality and actions not abilities or occupation)
Revon, he sucks at everything, he is young and afraid to take over the throne because of not being even 1/10th of what his brother was
Perhaps it’s Poseidon, as he said he was friends with the most powerful human, and had caused much destruction and all that with no context. And from the brief lore reading I’ve done, he hasn’t been that important in previous titles. He interests me the most
Def Morden, due to that Sea Curse he has. Morden could be VERY powerful by the end of the game, maybe even more so than the MC.
Probably Neviro, since he is gonna have to keep Ravenna all together while Calvus is dead whilst convincing the people of the royal family’s past evils.
Probably Iris, cause she reminds me of myself. Very quick to anger and violence, but still able to be light hearted and personable at times.
Probably Elius, as he was trying to desperately prove himself to some bad apples. I’m sure there are many people who can understand how damaging some situations like that are.
Split between Morden and Warren. Morden has real potential, and his curse literallly brings death, but Warren is very mysterious. The most likely explanation for some of his lines about flight and living for centuries is that he is indeed also a Curse user. And his experience using that magic as the War Seas’ protector likely made him very powerful.
Neviro, as not only was his father taken from him like Iris, but his entire homeland was decimated, with all survivors being wiped out to save face.
Definitely Warren, for obvious reasons.
Probably the Ravenna Privateer who told you about the secret tunnel that leads to the dungeons of Fort Talos. I forgot his name, but in a quest later on you learn that he sold you out to the Bronze Legion in exchange for a promotion, and then later hopping ship to look for the next profitable experience.
Personal favorite, huh? Well, I suppose it’s Morden. In any other situation, he’d probably be the protagonist of the story instead of the player character with his Sea Curse. Just feels the most like the MC of an Anime.
Warren, he probably has inferno curse also he is protector of Azura
Iris, mage that got flare magic at low levels somehow,
i wonder how it will affect in the future
Player or Morden
there can’t be odyssey without something arcane for this world full of magic
Estrid
Revon, it’s so sad that his brother had to be dead so there would be no evil but instead risk of mass destruction
Steleus or Warren, they both mages tho
Rackham, dude literally is forever gonna be a spirit (with dementia and possibly large dose of pain every 1 second) because of the strange stuff that has contections to chaos idk,
but it can also be other characters like Revon, Morden or Neviro.
Torren
Chief Alfarin, he seems to be pretty strong guy.
Ruby Ruger has no physical or magical power but still want to become someone important doing stuff that probably was advertised by some scammers
Revon (if i would be in AO then i would be like him but not in royal or rich family)
Anyway why Argos has red eyes ? Is it because he didn’t slept for 2 days ?
Most interesting in terms of current information? Probably Morden, but honestly, in his position, anyone could get that title. What was the Order trying to achieve with their experiment? Who or what actually killed Tucker?
If I were speaking from the heart, I’d say Warren, Enizor, or Edward Kenton. I like characters with things to discover, for example, how did Warren get his curse? How did Enizor become an alchemist? What was Edward like in the Gravy?
Excluding MC, this probably goes to Morden again for obvious reasons. The death curse doesn’t seem like just a “pew pew” curse like Morden uses it.
Ask yourself, what does death mean to you? When you think of death, what do you see? The death curse seems like it has more potential than Morden is allowing himself to use.
Also, he can steal curses(?)
Revon is a good candidate, but he doesn’t actually have potential, not in the literal meaning, not innate potential. Instead, he has the potential to be a threat. He wants vengeance, afterall.
Excluding MC, maybe Revon. Who knows what he could do in future seas. I expect great things from him.
Enizor and Estrid in a tie, me personally. I feel like everyone else would easily say Edward Kenton, though. Enizor gives us a portable alchemy service for life, and Estrid gave us a free place to sleep for our time in Redwake.
I’d like if we got some discount for that alchemy service, but I can’t ignore that it’d ruin the balancing of the game.
Out of the current cast we have now, Warren fits the bill.
In reality, only Revon can really be put in this area, but some may say Argos. Imagine training, becoming the absolute best version of yourself only to be defeated by some kid who is probably 75% younger than you are. It’s gut wrenching, it’s soul crushing, it’s similar to the feeling you get when someone bumps into you and the ice cream you were holding falls onto the ground. It feels as if everything you did up until then was a waste of time.
And to think he was finished off by some fucking rubble, too. Not even executed by the hands of the MC, but just some rocks. Come on now.
…I probably should have saved the rant for this one. Argos, I’d say personally.
Warren, honestly. We know basically nothing about him other than an approximation of his age, what abilities he may have, and that at the moment he’s an ally.
Another could be the Redwake chief. We interact with him literally once.
In terms of humanity, Estrid. Only a kind human would be nice enough to let a stranger stay in their house for free(or perhaps a villainous organ harvester, but that’s not the point).
Or maybe that Redwake Scout we meet in Frostmill. I’d probably run, too.
Honestly… none of them have made a big impression on me. If I were to say coolest, probably Julian. I mean, just look at his entrance!
