this came from a troll suggestion, but honestly if this was actually properly executed, I would really enjoy it, could even play a role in the story somehow

(ignore all the poop stuff)

the concept of like an underground sewer system labyrinth would be pretty awesome and I could imagine like criminal gangs hiding out down there and all sorts of strange treasures and hidden secrets inside the damp and dark tunnels.

Disclaimer

Here is the most horrible Idea that will ever exit my brain and be formed onto my goddamn keyboard. I ask that all of you read this while playing this song:

Without further ado, an idea for an entire stat in the game

Wisdom stat

The wisdom stat is a stat that gives access to Mind Scrolls, a way of fighting that allows you to use mind attacks written in scrolls to attack with, using a more supportive and zoning style for fighting. Being added in, it would change the amount of stat points given to the player each level from 2 to 3. Different scrolls are given to you depending on your build.

Stat Build Names & Awakening effects on builds

  • Scholar - Max Wisdom build
  • Sage - Wisdom/Magic hybrid
  • Monk - Wisdom/Strength hybrid
  • Champion - Wisdom/Weapons hybrid
  • Emperor - Wisdom/Vitality hybrid
(Savant would also use wisdom stat)

Awakenings

Scholar

  • First Awakening: Grants access to the Scholar’s Scroll
  • Second Awakening: Grants access to a second Mind Scroll of choice from another build

Sage

  • First Awakening: Grants access to the Scroll of the Sage, scroll damage starts scaling off both Magic and Wisdom
  • Second Awakening: Second Magic

Monk

  • First Awakening: Grants access to the Scroll of the Monk, fighting style damage starts scaling off Strength and Wisdom
  • Second Awakening: Second Fighting Style

Champion

  • First Awakening: Grants access to the Scroll of the Champion, weapon damage starts scaling off Weapons and Wisdom
  • Second Awakening: Weapons now gain a purple weapon aura and gain additional skills

Emperor

  • First Awakening: Grants access to the Scroll of the Emperor, you now get 10% damage reduction from attacks that stem from stat builds (magic, fighting styles, weapons and wisdom)
  • Second Awakening: Spirit weapons now have their damage scale off Vitality and Wisdom

Savant

  • Second Awakening: Savants are now granted access to the Scroll of the Prodigy along with the other effects upon awakening

Mind Scrolls

Mind scrolls are weapons that can support allies and zone out enemies through draining attacks which take up energy to use. These scrolls are given to you at the start of the game as basic scrolls, and depending on the build you use that uses Wisdom, different scrolls will be given to you upon awakening. Scholar builds get

Mind Scroll Types

Basic Scroll - The first scroll given at the start of the game that have creatable spells which include: enemy debuffs and ally buffs, health draining spells, close and far ranged attacks, and more. This scroll has 8 spell slots.

Scholar’s Scroll - Given to the Scholar build upon their first awakening that has more spells than the basic scroll along with better versions of the spells in the basic scroll. This scroll is also granted more spell slots than most items, and has 12 spell slots total.

Scroll of the Sage - Given to the Sage build upon their first awakening and can be selected by the Scholar build on their second awakening, this scroll has spells similar to that of magic and is more ranged based. This scroll has 10 spell slots.

Scroll of the Monk - Given to the Monk build upon their first awakening and can be selected by the Scholar build on their second awakening, this scroll has physical spells that are similar to fighting styles. This scroll has 10 spell slots.

Scroll of the Champion - Given to the Champion build upon their first awakening and can be selected by the Scholar build on their second awakening, this scroll has spells that carry a similar playstyle to weapons and are able to use both ranged and physical attacks. This scroll has 10 spell slots.

Scroll of the Emperor - Given to the Emperor build upon their first awakening and can be selected by the Scholar build on their second awakening, this scroll is solely based around supporting allies and draining enemies. This scroll has 10 spell slots.

Scroll of the Prodigy - Given to the Savant build upon their second awakening, this scroll has similar spells to the Scrolls of the Sage, Monk, Champion and Emperor, although weaker than them overall. This scroll has 9 spell slots.

Customization

Scroll spells would be customizable in a new menu labeled as Wisdom, and would have creatable skills for all scrolls. These skills have their keybinds selected while creating the spell, and scrolls with over 8 skills will have the option of having to press two keybinds to create one spell (basically, spells could be Q, E, or Q + E if the scrolls have over 8 skills). As you level up wisdom, more skills will be accessible, and hybrid builds have the ability select scrolls and put skills from their other stat type on the scrolls.

  • This idea is creative, but it wouldn’t really fit into AO.
  • This idea is not good.
  • Please burn this idea. (Select this one I beg of you)

(the idea above is the entire stat I wanted to do for shits and giggles)

I mean like it’s cool but it feels so gimmicky and weird

Like isn’t the magic stat already kinda what this is describing?

I dunno I mean a wisdom stat would be cool but it probably shouldn’t work like this.

I would assume maybe it has some kind of relationship to warding or something but that’s just me

this is truly an arcane odyssey

lost spell idea:

drop spell

description: “the user manually chooses the location as to where the spell is to be casted similar to that of a placed explosion, once chosen, the spell activates by charging up a massive orb of the user’s selected magic a few feet above the air, when the magic orb is complete, it slams the ground that causes a magic shockwave and explodes on top of that dealing high damage and having huge AoE.”

truely the stat build of all time

Vetex, make this man tester now

so basically glumpers could infuse their magic onto dogs and ctas which then they will attack for you and kinda work like npc

and spirit cats and doeg are for hambrugr build

and you can imbue your fighting styles or weapon movesets onto both cat and dog so they can use like tinier less powerful versions of it

and full walter stat user just are able to control more dog and cat
