last week the game had 800-1000 players and now its doubled, wtf happened are people just prepping for full release or did they re-discover how good the game actually is

It’s something I personally noticed starting shortly after the Yuletide event ended. I’m not too sure if there are any actual factors contributing to it, but I’d like to think people are looking forward to the full release update and are slightly returning to AO in expectation/preparation of it.
A common sentiment I’ve seen is people expecting the update to come out sometime within the next month or two (it won’t, i promise), so a preemptive increase in expectation makes sense.
Idk though, maybe everyone is just bored of other roblox games or they’re checking out ao again cause they haven’t hopped on in months
i mean for me (and likely others) pilgrammed raindrops hype died down as people completed the update and now theyre going back to other games that have more content
i still hold pilgrammed close to my heart but like. theres. theres nothing to do.
people who think that are going to be very angry.

I just got the urge to play again, probably from seeing all the new moves/islands. It’s pretty funny bc I had zero urge to play when Yuletide was out but got back into the game like 2 days after it ended.
Gotta prep for all the new stuff - shoring up my warrior slot, for example
Yeah I am guessing it’s the upcoming update which I have mostly heard and seen good things about, especially with features like inventory searchbars or the pvp toggle spirit weapons and so on, so many things people have wanted for basically years now.
Though there is one thing that worries me which i do not know if it’s true either, I’ve heard from people that spirit weapons might get their own three slots? I imagine this could be a major pain in the ass for hybrids (especially savants). I wonder if this piece of information is true
