This is kind of a bittersweet moment… being around a group of people who constantly annoy and bicker with you, but you still have a soft spot for them because what else do you have? Mael and Aina’s reactions too 
must’ve been a surprise hearing words that are somewhat sweet, even though he just said he doesn’t hate them
