To get back on topic, here’s a suggestion as no one liked my previous writing (i know i rushed it):
Atlantean Animals (this is a suggestion, not concrete lore)
Atlantean animals, unlike humans, don’t grow fish-like proportions. It seems they have a minor resistance, with barnacles, coral and shells growing on their purple-tainted skin instead. Eyes are either bloodshot or dead black.
Sorry this is short and so badly thought out, made it in 3 minutes to try and create a discussion non-nsfw related
Bye pals!! I will probably vanish for a week minimum, possibly forever as I will not EVER want to see or learn about those weird sexual fantasies you guys have. Don’t copy Jericho, or God may just smite you down.
I figured most people wrote about the Abyss Sea inside AO but just outside the normal universe. So I thought: "Why don’t I write about the abyss sea outside of an AO setting?
I took one of my favourite games on roblox and kind of mashed it together with the Abyss Sea AU. And now you have this piece. If you have played the game before, you would know.
Consider this shameful self-promotion. Please don’t hate on me for that, or this story.
This game is probably the only one I’ll do, since it has a part where it can really tie in.
you guys seriously need to touch grass writer-wise.
As a writer myself…i took a break from lore for like 1 months and around…3 weeks? i think it’s the third week since my break, just so i can recover from burnout.
Longest thing i’ve written is 10 discord messages long, all of my total lore would be extremely long to the point i cannot even estimate in how many discord messages it would be.
I’ve burnt out on writing abyss sea lore multiple times, but I keep coming back after a few days to cook something out, be it actually good lore or shitposts
i am either washed up or just need a really long break.
After all…i made 3 lore posts per week back in my previous schedule, which was mostly unbroken until high school, which is where i am currently.
you must have unwavering amounts of patience for this.
yeah, that’s fair. I write abyss sea lore to break from a relatively large world building project that I know full well will never see the light of day. Taking breaks is good, if you feel like you’re forcing yourself to write lore, break till you truly feel like you should come back.
i am trying to find a productive way to take a break, in a way.
So i am trying to move away from lore and do something else that could work with my creativity.
which is sometimes hard due to lack of the time i have on the weekdays, and i’ve got some opinions that i have alot of free time sometimes.
we dont discourage the cookery that is happening here
however, we DO discourage burning yourself out. several people have already apologized to me for not having time to make anything for AS and to that I say: please dont ever feel like you’re obligated to make something or contribute, just the fact that it was considered is MORE than enough. only create when you really feel like it, and for no one else but yourself.
