I imagine that he has incredible will, but the effects of the situation would slowly chip away at him. he’ll probably end up self isolating for a while after seeing one too many tragedies
he’d probably wander around blasted rock for a while, just making imperfect glass formations from the sand
Hold up a minute, just hear me out, but like. Maybe the Atlanteans fish design differ based on the amount of magic they have, the more powerful they have, the more likely to be more based around deep sea creatures(?)
Expect Revon, Revon is going be an ascending god because that sound cool-
Merlot’s is I would say more likely to stay alive
because he isn’t dumb in lore Architects (Merlot’s at least) are pretty smart being able to control and enforce/hideaway Blackwater Grotto to the point of criminals feeling safe to set up shop there.
so I would say he would at least have a plan of scaling up stepstones
(it would also be interesting to see how Cirrus Island would react due to them not really having a powerful or effective army/police force compared to the surge of Blackwater Grotto criminals nevermind the limited space would Cirrus Island try and run away to rebuild at Skycliff Island perhaps?)
So is the whole main party in their original places BEFORE the storyline took place? Meaning nobody knows anyone- the MC is at Dawn, Neviro is at Sky Island, Iris was still at Frostmill… the only big difference being Morden is turning into an Atlantean.
Since the normal AO storyline doesn’t exist (the Order has not screwed over some of these people) they’d probably all be in different places.
Iris has her dad! Except they get separated anyways at the start of the invasion
Neviro is currently missing.
Morden is being held in the Order’s testing facilities, as he is the first to be infected.
The player isn’t really a character right now, and could be a stand in for self inserts or OCs. Though if you have any suggestions for any of these characters and more pls feel free to share them! I’m still iffy on the storyline rn
Anyways, since you pretty much just said “no”, I’ll try to find the missing people using their personalities ingame. But first, I think I’ll just say some base theories.
Julian will probably be infected as well.
Julian is a curse user who is much more powerful than his leader. It takes loyalty to not leave your leader and take over the throne, especially in times like this. I bet he’ll try to stop Calvus in a moment of heroic self sacrifice. However, we don’t really know a lot about Julian. One thing is for sure though, and that’s Curse users are probably the most safe at this point. Almost all of them can simply fly to safety and could probably even wipe out a ton of atlanteans without much difficulty as well. Julian might be able to survive if he chooses himself over loyalty to the Ravenna Realm.
After all, there is not going back from this. You can’t “repair” the Dark Sea. There isn’t really even a Ravenna Realm to rule over anymore, so arguable Calvus is no longer Julians king.
Warren is probably still at Cirrus
I just figure he’d most likely still be at Cirrus anyway. Not to investigate the Order, but because he seems like a smart guy. Knowing his capabilities as a curse user, it’d be easy to simply fly up to the top and enjoy the peace while it lasts.
“While it lasts”, I say, because I doubt it’ll be long until Atlanteans start learning how to fly. I’m dead serious. There’s probably some sort of fish mutation that’ll let a big evolved flying atlantean get up to Cirrus. There aren’t many decent fighters in Cirrus- unless Warren is around(then it’s a completely different situation), so just one LVL 500+ atlantean with wings will be enough to eradicate the sky-folk.
“What about Elius”? You can’t be serious. The only reason he’s even still alive is because he has the land advantage. Atleast someone like Warren could reasonably escape if things get too iffy. Elius is probably dying first the second the atlanteans start replacing their fish brains with human ones.
Really cool theories! Just want to say though that curse users have been heavily nerfed in this universe, and their ability to fly has been taken away (to prevent fast travel between islands, maybe something in the air has messed with their magic)
Neviro
I forget exactly what Neviro’s main goals were, so I won’t use any of his old goals as a compass. He’s a smart person as well, but is weak enough for it not to be too far fetched for him to get stranded. He could be on an island near Cirrus- most likely a wilderness island or if we’re being generous Harvest Island. I’d figure he’d be in a “I’m hiding behind a corner and a monster is currently passing by” situation- atlantean ships are too close by to make sailing a reasonable option, atlanteans are ON the island he’s currently hiding out on, or because he just doesn’t have a ship. Could have been a lucky castaway that may have been hiding out on a ship when the invasion began.
Most likely on a wilderness island or Harvest, just barely scraping by.
Beringer
I don’t know a lot about him, but if the order hasn’t done anything too dubious, mischievous, or even a small amount of tomfoolery, I’m gonna go ahead and say he’s most likely tagging along with Warren. Otherwise, he’d be hiding out in Fort Talos’ ruins, avoiding being spotted by the soldiers. Most likely gravely wounded and probably wants to leave as soon as possible.
Ulricus
He might be dead. Now, I know that’s a stretch, but hear me out. First of all, he just seems like the type of guy to run away from battle and fall into a ditch. He probably deserted Ravenna and went in a bee-line to one of the other territories like Shell Island, only to find more Atlanteans killing everyone. I don’t know a ton about him, but that’s just what I figure. I’ll probably have to do another playthrough and read his dialogue again to be more specific.
If he’s alive, he could be on Cassia Bay since it’s the more reasonable pick compared to Sandfall or Fort Talos. I’d also assume that soldiers from Fort Talos would warn the main army before things start to get out of hand, so he could also end up surviving by leaving before the Atlanteans start attacking Ravenna. I still think he’d probably die running though.
Merlot
Definitely alive. No question about that, but the real question is “Alive, where?”
He could have deserted Whitesummit as the Atlanteans started to attack, or if Whitesummit is still generally “safe”(in current conditions atleast), he might leave before anything happens. After all, safety must be more of an illusion at this point. He might still be nearby, since the Pelion Rift is very close to Whitesummit. It’s possible he’s hiding out on the Rift.
Either way, I doubt he’d be one of the ones to die.
Arwald
Another definite survivor. He seems like the type of dude to kick someone in the face while trying to climb up a ladder to escape Atlanteans, so even if he’s a scumbag he’s an alive and breathing scumbag. I don’t have a good idea on where he is, but it’d probably be somewhere clever. Like hiding out on a shipwreck for example.
If he’s dead, though, he’d most likely share a similar death to Ulricus. Running away from one problem and landing face first into a new one. He could have sailed away from Sailors Lodge while the Atlanteans were “busy” with the other inhabitants, and headed to Sandfall or Cerunno, only to find the situation to not be much worse.
He might be able to survive on Sandfall, though. However, islands close to Akursius Keep(atlantean hotspot) are mostly in jeopardy.
short theories:
Iris’ dad turned into an atlantean.
Iris will also probably die.
Dame Cassennia is most likely no longer at Ravenna, and could be leading a small fleet of deserters like herself.
Edward Kenton would probably be the least affected of any individual in the whole sea. His island is pretty tucked away, and so it’s not unreasonable to say that he’s still chilling on Elm Island. How long will he be chilling, though?
heavily nerfed as in thats the only nerf or heavily nerfed as in “oh, their curse is pretty much just a slightly better version of the magic version.”
For example, the glass curse would have 1.1x impact damage instead of the usual 0.9x? And they aren’t immune to physical attacks from atlanteans(like bites and punches)? If that’s the case then nevermind, Warren and Julians days are probably numbered.
