In a Chaos Mode playthrough…

• Iris has a chance to be a warrior instead of a Lost Magic wielding mage, thus resulting in her pulling out a musket and shooting you on sight in Frostmill. This makes her boss fight much harder due to aimbot hitscan.

• There’s a rare chance of a Skyketch spawning instead of the typical skyship resembling a sailboat. This bursts through the skies at blistering speeds, at the cost of using all of its magic storage near-instantly and catapulting itself directly into the Dark Sea.

• There’s a chance that instead of Lord Elius being at the Djin Ruins, Lord Ulricus is there instead. This makes the boss fight hellish without outside help. Luckily, there is a summon sign for Iris at the campsite.
  If this happens, you fight Lord Elius and Lady Carina as a duo fight in the Shining Plains, which you have no backup for. Good luck.

• Beringer is never captured, due to turning into cloud whenever anybody tries to attack him. This writes Warren out of the story, meaning you never speak to Randal, or even get your awakening.

• When approached at Sailors Lodge, Ruby Roger is surrounded by two unconscious Bronze Legion soldiers with stars and birds flying over their heads. This reveals that he is actually a comedically powerful master of the peg leg. (He keeps it hidden by wearing normal pants.) However, he still insists against taking any of their belongings.

• In the Eternal Mines, there’s a chance for the magic-suppressing shackles on your character to be out of the magic energy they need to function, resulting in you maniacally destroying all of the Bronze Legion soldiers inside of it. The guy giving orders next to the exit doesn’t stand a chance, because if he did, he wouldn’t be whipping prisoners like the FUCKING PUSSY HE IS
  FIGHT ME HEAD-ON, YOU GODDAMN COWARD!

• There’s a chance for King Calvus to step out of his throne room and stand alongside General Julian confronting you, Morden, and Neviro. Instead of the Triasta of Bronze, he wields a Devourer. The sight of the Curse Thief and the Lost Prince of Winterveil in the same hallway angers him to the point of beginning the fight in his 2nd phase.
  “So, you’re the one who tore the Curse from our fingertips. You’ll find that your sheer audacity to appear at my front door was a grave mistake… I’ll reduce you and this Winterveil filth to dust!”
  You get to see the full extent of Morden and General Julian’s curses in this duo battle to the death. You’d best hope that you’re not caught in the crossfire, as Death is indiscriminate.

There’s a rare chance that Morden does not recognize the player character and they washed up on Dawn Island simply by coincidence and happenstance as they were not experimented on unlike Morden and Tucker. If this event happens, you will have no access to Magic for a majority of the playthrough and most Player backstory events related to their experimentation will be omitted from the story. Oddly enough, the player can still damage curse users with their other attack types.

Your character has a rare chance to spawn with Animal Ears and a Tail permanently equipped on themselves, you cannot take them off. Only a cosmetic change outside of affecting some minor bits of dialogue.

There is an EXTREMELY small chance that upon death, NPCs will violently explode killing everything (including you) in a massive radius.

Julian can completely miss your character, making you skip the entire arc of the ravenna mines, and instead cause you to have a very hard boss battle with him. After getting him down to 50%, morden and iris join you to help defeat him.

• When playing a Strength build, you retain the ability to use the Basic fighting style in the Eternal Mines part of the storyline and can skip the entire slave labor and prison break events by punching the guards in the face.
• You gain the ability to join Ruby Roger’s crew, causing you to not be able to chose where to go when you spawn your ship. Or rather, his ship. You can ask him to head for discovered islands, however.
• At complete random, White Eyes may be replaced by Lionfish (Aberrant-tier sea monsters) or Dread Serpents (Apollyon-tier sea monsters)
• There is a chance every in-game day for the navy to go on strike. This stops any executions from occuring, prevents Kai from spawning (he is busy negotiating with the grand navy union), and forces Fame players to carry KO’d criminals all the way to silverhold themselves to cash in their bounties.
• When using Crash as a warlock, your character will yell “I CAST FIST.”. This doesn’t occur if you are using Iron Leg.
• Dying to Iris deletes your save slot, as a cutscene of your character being sent back to ravena as a pile of ashes plays.
• Merlot’s fight is replaced by a dancing minigame. Failing it instantly kills you.
• Julian has brittle bones disease, causing his bones to shatter like glass when he ambushes you. You still get KO’d, but he never reappears in the story afterwards.
• The Cirrus spawn location is removed, causing you to spawn at the foot of the Stepstones during this part of the story. Dying enough times causes Ren to lose his patience and fling you all the way up. You will not be unbanned if this triggers the AA gun.
• Argos has arthritis, and all his animation have half of the keyframes compared to usual.
• When idling for too long at Sandfall Isle or in a blacksmith’s shop, your character will pass out from heatstroke.
• Digging up Tucker’s grave drops a single galleon.
• Touching seawater in the Jaws areas before defeating Shura causes you to take massive damage.
• All ship cannons are replaced with Cannon Fist NPCs tied to the ship’s hull.
