As it’s yet another way to artificially increase playtime by exploiting people’s fear of missing out without providing any changes to the core gameplay loop.
Yes, it gives rewards to people who put in the time, but that’s already the case for arcane odyssey, what’s the point?
It’ll realistically only make the game more tedious than it already is by having content be locked to it (or not, but then what would be the reason to complete it?).

why would you think that when it didnt say ‘exclusive rewards’ or anything
maybe there could be exclusive cosmetics on rotation, so like every 4 cycles it resets and theres 4 you can get or something
that doesnt sound too good for the health of the game tho since it takes away from stuff you can do (replayability, which vetex is trying to add to)

Bonus Loot which is likely locked away behind actions that you wouldn’t otherwise do until said battlepass system is implemented.

this is also good because it encourages alternative leveling methods
if vetex makes a fishing quest ill go back on this

So it’d effectively only be used by the people that don’t really have a reason to commit to it as they otherwise would already be farming the dark sea, great!

My point exactly, nobody dedicated enough to the game to go through an entire battlepass would need to level up.

  • not for low level players

  • quests for a variety of tasks that can be done at any level
  • generic rewards
  • can be for low level players

as for the rewards,

  • only galleons/items/special vanity

  • galleons/practical items (like reagents)/xp

Sounds great!!! Why would late-game players care about the battlepass then?

hmm…
clan building, potion brewing, just doing shit for the sake of it (bronze sea explorer exists)
people play incremental games where the whole shtick is watching numbers go up
diving percentage does literally nothing past 100% and people get it to 300% anyways just for the sake of getting it to 300%

not really. not playing the game just means not playing the game and it would never outclass the best or even good methods of farming galleons, that would just be stupid
