The new forum layout was released 10, nearly 15 minutes ago.
When it has released and now, it has been called shit by everyone.
It has a very shitty look and is surrounded by ugly.

I’d pay to have the layout reverted, this is nearly as bad as the new discord UI.

Literally un-forumable, I’m leaving to r/IrisFans (no idea if this exists)
people are going to shit on it for a week and then forget about it
It just feels cluttered compared to the old one. Not just unintuitive, but actively detrimental to navigation and pressing buttons.

its probably bugged. some of this spacing doesnt make sense and the reply button is practically unreadable
The biggest benefit is that you can see if someone replied to someone above them or not. Before it was set up to where it showed nothing unless there was a post in-between.

Honestly this layout isn’t bad or that much different, although that might be because I barely use the left sidebar or the private chats.

To be completely honest I don’t really mind it as of now, only things I’m kinda put off by are:

My memory of the old one isn’t so great so I’m not sure if this is new or not, but the extra box on the inside makes it seem kinda cluttered/squashed (and how it also jumpscares me at the bottom of threads):

I actually don’t mind the reply indicator being highlighted but I feel that the text should be lighter so it’s more legible at a glance and the blue more transparent so it’s not as distracting:

I swear the text that indicated the amount of posts used to be white and bold which was also easier to see at a glance

Overall most of it is just nitpicks on visual changes that made things a bit more of a hassle to view things at a glance for me.
But hey we can now set our status to offline lol, hooray? And we can increase the size of the post box without having to make it fullscreen and hide the preview box so that’s kinda neat. Also big fan of the new art section layout, it looks much cleaner and organized now.

If I ever become a mod I’m changing my title to something goofy
I haven’t been able to check out the PC browser version of the forum so I’m not sure how drastic the change has been there, but so far I’m a fan of some of the changes the update has made to the mobile version of the platform
