I love getting disoriented and missing all my attacks :smiling_imp:

has dodging with iframes been discussed before

p sure it has

and that’s a TERRIBLE idea coming directly from the flash

do you really want me to be fucking invincible as well as nearly impossible to hit?

its a way to indirectly nerf attack size
basically add like a single frame of invunerability when dodging
parrying without parrying
then parries could be revamped to like a counterattack, and iframes is parrying but u dont get to punish

the only things I feel could use iframes are fighting style dash attacks because they already require you to be right ontop of your target before the actual attack happens.

there’s most likely a much better solution to that though.

yea true, i feel like fstyles should have less movement endlag but u still cant use abilities

Not sure exactly how relevant it is since it’s from a while ago though

my idea is knockback on crash n things like it, which have small stun to prevent your ass from getting hit by a 300+ damage shining cycle right afterwards, but you can’t use abilities

basically you can dash away

Still don’t understand the problem with bursting aura, just because it’s not great doesn’t mean it needs to be deleted
like imagine just deleting a magic because it’s not that commonly used

yeah thats kinda the idea
block becomes something you have to find the right time to do so while parrying becomes a read

Its either it becomes too overwhelming for anyone that plays up close as you’re constantly dealing with an attack that covers where you should be playing, or be so bad its not an option thats viable.

It’s the ‘Zoner’ class. Even with heavier magics Busting aura is near unusable right now. If it gets buffed, what options do Strength builds have against Mages? Dare to try to play the game and take bursts of 1/9 of their health just for daring to use their kit? It’s either useless or overpowered. Too polarizing to really have a purpose that isn’t disruptive.

I personally think that as long as Shadow gets some sort of buff that it doesn’t need a synergy since it would work as a standalone magic if its stats accurately reflected it. Also, even if a synergy is needed I don’t think it should be a cold or heat based one since most magics already are characterized into those two categories and Light, which is essentially the opposite of Shadow, doesn’t have a heat based synergy.
