I dont even know how yall are getting 3500+ hp
It feels like an inside joke im missing out on

90 vit 160 magic mage builds with a magic with a heavy resistance mode like earth / metal / magma , all that HP with 300+ damage blasts

Conjurers, Warlords, and Warlocks can do the same thing once level 150 hits

Technically they can do so now

Think of those 3 as sibling builds

Might be a bit overkill as far as Focus goes once these changes drops but Magic needs the hit badly , and if Aura is one of the places it’s getting hit then god bless imo

Something I’d really like to bring up to any Testers still reading this thread is the current state (and lack thereof) of visual clarity in AO. Anyone who’s fought a Mage build with high size knows half the reason that these builds are so strong is genuinely just because you cannot see anything. I would KILL to get an outline of players you’ve combat tagged, or have combat tagged you. Would help with the problem of running too.

Especially the disjointed hard magic builds
Might as well be standing on other side of mount Othrys and get hit by Gold/Earth/Metal

sensing will solve this so we’ve held off on making any suggestions

Sensing requires you to stand still and use it as a seperate ability, it absolutely will not fix that.

the sensing you’re thinking of yea it wouldn’t, but that’s not how it’ll be

Won’t ask too much deeper since I know ya’ll probably can’t divulge much on it , but hoping it’s not just active while charging like it was in AA. If it’s something that can be passively activated that’s huge.

I just really hope that this game’s pvp is put into a state where its actually fun and not plagued with bullshit well before sensing is added in any form.
Until the 1000 damage builds and island sized AoE builds are gone, there needs to be a way to escape and hide.

or u could fight instead of running lil bro

that’s the exact mindset that keeps you down in PvP , just because a build is overtuned / overpowered doesn’t mean that you can’t use the tools at your disposal to kill them , this balance patch will sure as hell even things out a lot more but I’ve fucked up a lot of cocky max power Metal / Magma pulsar / aoe spam builds by keeping cool and looking for openings

it absolutely does if I’m a warlock and everything I do requires me to get within hugging distance to do negligible damage and they can two hit me.

I’ve killed meta mage builds on my lock plenty :man_shrugging:
