there is, the logic is that crystals are known to be very brittle so a head-on collision is likely to result in it breaking itself instead
yea
Ice is also very brittle. Also, I canât see how the crystal wouldnât shatter the ice even if it broke
i just checked and crystal already gets a damage boost from frozen, isnât this logic is already in the game then?
It doesnât clear frozen
since ice and crystal are both brittle, theyâre of about equal strength so crystal probably isnât stronger enough to completely shatter it, but it can chip or crack it, which is most likely what the damage boost is
Why rapier nerf :c
The fact that one is moving and the other isnât doesnât make any difference. If it were the other way around, and a frozen person was being blasted at a stationary crystal blast, the result would be the same
youâre right, thatâs how physics works, but i never mentioned motion
Ok so why does the crystal need to be stronger than the ice to shatter it
because thatâs usually how breaking things work, hit thing with stronger thing and thing breaks, hit thing with weaker thing and thing doesnât break, if theyâre about equal idk what happens, they probably just chip each other a bit or smth
They can both break. If the crystal doesnât break, then how is it different from earth as far as breaking the ice goes?
if i throw a baseball at a wall it bounces off
but if i throw a baseball at a wall at mach 10 the wall would explode
but crystal is faster than earth
if i throw a feather at a wall nothing happens
but if i throw a 10 ton feather at the wall the wall crumbles
by how much
0.7 to 0.6
yea so its basically goes half a foot further per second
which isnt much
they donât completely shatter tho unless theyâre going like uber fast, i can smash a rock into another rock but iâd only be able to chip them, swords also donât completely shatter when they collide with each other even tho theyâre made of the exact same material
earth is generally less brittle than crystals, so itâs able to shatter the ice easier
thatâs cause itâs also lighter so itâs less damaging
