How the in the actual fuck is bleed for speed an even trade-off? We are playing the same game right? Speed on conjurer/warlock literally doesn’t even matter that much not to mention how in this game you can just wear a bunch of accessories with enchants to fix any problem. Ice is better than fucking snow on conjurer and warlock, imbecile. Besides, if snow is so fucking good have you ever thought about why no one uses it and everyone uses ice? No?
Conjurer is not just weapon with imbuenment
its weapon with imbuenment AND magic
applies to warlock too
plus ice can’t constantly freeze as there is a CC cooldown
And snow can’t constantly freeze either and gets a damage reduction for freezing people. The magic speed of snow and speed overall doesn’t matter enough when your damage is sky-high. Magma’s ‘‘very slow’’ speed doesn’t stop it from being an amazing magic.
Scald lasts for 3 seconds? Well, no matter. I’m going to love it when I get the petrify people with my combos.
If there appears an another person telling me I am wrong, I’ll admit I am wrong
i like what was said about giving dashes SOME sort of drawback for constantly spamming to run/zone.
my main gripe with the combat at the moment is that you can really only play by spamming placed explosions and dashing around. its impossible to catch runners, god forbid snare was used for something more than a command grab at close-mid range…
i dont like having to constantly spam placed aoe moves, and honestly some sort of dash distance reduction after enough uses without hits might encourage more of what vetex’s combat seems aimed toward, than what it plays like atm.
Imagine having a magic whip that pulls people
it’s interesting people aren’t really talking about visibility mid-combat though
crystal does a greater job at blinding people than light and shadow magic, because it actually just covers your entire screen and half the playing area you’re in. i don’t want some dumb ESP mechanic but there’s certainly things to be desired regarding being able to actually see your opponent. if you don’t apply bleed or some sort of ticking status to people, you’re shooting into the dark in a majority of fights (another reason AoE meta is so prevalent)
Yeah that’s kind of a problem. When you are fighting someone like earth, metal, snow, sand (I know snow and sand got a blind passive) and all that kind of stuff you don’t see anything at all, even if you are the user of said magic. Like when I use crystal I can’t see anything either just like my opponent can’t.
Maybe add some kind of outline on player when they are inside clusters of magic so you can see them somewhat? Dumb idea but it can work
Pristine is writing, man I am fucked probably.
not bleed, a 10% boost on bleeding targets on a magic that already deals very low damage. believe it or not speed is an important stat in this game hence why fast magics tend to perform well in PvP
yea man that’s why light conjurer is one of the best conj setups rn right
ice is popular among younger players, a large audience for the game, and snow is less popular simply because it is less appealing
lightning is not incredibly strong despite it being the most popular magic in the game, kids just think it’s cool
I literally cannot be bothered to argue this further because from the sound of it you are a PvE player attempting to argue a moot point on a PvP balance thread, snow is easier to use and land hits on due to its speed and ice can occasionally hit a little harder from its 10% bleed interaction, hence the tradeoff that I’ve talked about a mind numbing amount of time now
I didn’t get fucked but r%ped with facts. Gg.
this will be the function of Sensing when it is added a bit down the line, toggleable outlines on players you are fighting will vastly assist visual clarity against solid magics and the generally horrendous lack of being able to see anything in the game rn
Jokes aside, you genuinely made me turn on my brain and admit that I am wrong.
Also, nice. Although I suppose sensing won’t be able to get turned on forever right? Or will you be able to have it on constantly?
Toggleable. probably same as AA as far as the activation goes where you press C while charging to toggle it on or off , but unlike in AA it will persist after you stop charging and will be passively active until disabled
AA had that? Damn man I never used it in that game
Also, I think shadow’s passive should do something else beside giving you a nice looking monocrhome effect. The passive is called ‘‘drained’’ so maybe it should drain something aside from… Colour.
looking forward to this, then
