Arcane Odyssey v1.13 Balancing Changes WIP

Correction, mage ultimate spells are “fair and balanced.”
I’m curious as to what the state of the game will be like with just size nerfs and no more crazy status ultimates.
As a matter of fact the DoT rework suggestion wouldn’t even fix the ultimate problem because they’d still do more damage than just removing the status doubling, and could get even worse on intensity builds.

Incredible, so you’re saying metal does 1.5x total with 2 bleeds ( one bleed is 0.275x) and applies the bleeds at a whopping 2.5% of the target’s health in damage. Another nerf could be metal applies bleed if it does 33% to punish the builds that aren’t full power and it would currently help people who build health to not get bled. If you guys don’t care if it applies at 5% damage then let it still apply the bleed at 33% damage. Small change is better than none.

Current Magma on the other hand will do 0.925x + 0.4625 + 0.4625 = 1.85x doubling the base. Quite balanced since the nerf to 0.90x only drops it to 1.8x

I’m pretty sure in wom the meta was like lightning or fire or something. I honestly quit after the beams update because it was just too boring and way too laggy

I’ve got a hunch that the ultimate status doubling thing was an AO change, or ultimates just weren’t available in WoM for people to discover the insanity.

The meta was glass because of bleedstacking and glass rubble used to spawn above the head of your attack leading to free chip

max level in wom was 90 so ultimates never happened also stats barely existed so the meta was just max damage and defense

Oh boy 1.8x damage multiplier on ultimate spells :smiley: (not including the fact that being an ultimate spell makes the base damage go up by 20%, which is doubled by the double status.)

What are y’all’s opinions on cannonfist and should it get a rework or a buff

  • Its completely op and needs to be nerfed
  • Neutral/doesn’t need buffs
  • It’s terrible and needs a complete overhaul or some crazy buffs

They’re getting a 10% dmg buff so now they have more dmg pre awakening as well

That is IF the wiki is correct. but i’m pretty sure it is, since i’ve heard a few people talking about how ultimates apply status twice every now and then

Cannon fist needs more stats to depend on cannonball, like I want the range of light cannonball crash to be far, heavy exploding shell to be low, chainshot becoming a heavy slow, etc.

tfw max power build fully charged ultimate from magma deals die damage.

I figured out the best balance change: delete mage and then everyone is happy :slight_smile: (mages don’t have opinions because they’re all metamancing scum and don’t just randomly pick a build because it’s cool and then have a happy little accident when said build is good)

Totally fine the way it is imo. Maybe should receive some minor buffs together with other Fighting styles. It is the only ‘solid’ ranged option Berserkers have, after all.

That’s a very childish reply, especially for a serious discussion about the games balancing.
