Up until the Dark Sea update, there had been 3 types of hull for every level.
Wooden: Gives low durability, medium stability, and speed
Rugged: Gives medium durability, low stability, and turning
Bronze: Gives high durability, high stability, and ram defense
With the Dark Sea update, there is only one new hull type. It is the Archaic Hull, which essentially is the equivalent of the rugged hull (with some speed and higher defense). It’s weird that the other hulls would get thrown out, even if rugged was the best hull.
To fill in some gaps and promote more diversity in ship builds, here’s some proposed potential Bronze and Wood Archaic hulls:
Plated Archaic Hull: 7200 Durability, 15 Stability, and 552 Ram Defense + (Maybe 300-500 ram damage because I always that bronze was weak.)
Wooden Archaic Hull: 3600 Durability, 10 Stability, and 10 Speed + (Maybe 3-5 turning since Ruined Archaic hull already has 2 base speed)
(don’t ask me how it doesn’t rot)
These would also be gotten from dark sealed chests. Finally, stats aren’t 100%, Vetex can choose whatever he wants.
A good addition to the game. This should be extended to every other ship part, since after the dark sea update there seems to be one objectively best thing for every part (archaic sailcloth, dragonfire carronades, hammerhead ram, maybe archaic mortars as well, and ofc the archaic hull). Maybe some of these are arguable, but there’s only one rare dark sea related item for every ship part, and I think that’s kinda lame after the novelty goes away.
having upgraded version of those hulls at the same level for diversity would be good, although i hope you know they obviously already have upgrades planned, its just that our level is too low to get them.
and while at our level cap the suggestion makes sense, getting an upgraded version in like 5 to 10 levels also does the job as soon as the nimbus sea comes out (which presumably is when this suggestion would be considered cuz i doubt he’d want to add more to the small update coming soon)
