Architect Lupus, also known as the Ninth Star, is a 54 year old high-ranking offical of the Assassin Syndicate. Before he joined the Assassin Syndicate, his real name was Levi. When he was seven, Levi discovered he had the ability to use Light Magic, which he said he was going to use for the greater good. At a young age, Levi had a desire to learn and educate himself on history and other topics he deemed important for the ‘future generations to know of.’
Levi was born in the heart of Tiberia, seeing firsthand the discrimination and neglect the people of Tiberia faced. When he realized how much the country hated his people, he set out for adventure in the Bronze Sea, looking to make a fortune to help fund his neglected city. He took on jobs, living on meager bounties on small-time criminals and getting by.
When Levi turned 23, he joined the Assassin Syndicate since he thought the grass was greener on that side. Levi, upon joining the Assassin Syndicate quickly climbed the ranks due to his intellect and fighting prowess which no grunt had in the organization. Not long after, he became a fully-fledged Assassin after several months of dedication. Levi changed his name to Lupus, and gained the title of the Ninth Star due to his magic abilities and how he always hunted his targets at midnight, his magic attacks glowing like vibrant stars. At the prime of his youth in the Assassin Syndicate, Lupus was a well-respected and feared Cardinal of the syndicate. Unlike his fellow co-workers who operated in the darkness, Lupus showed proof of his existence to the whole War Seas, by constantly being seen around the public which boosted his reputation.
During his time as a Cardinal, Lupus studied Aether Magic and made copies of the scrolls containing information about Aether Magic, storing them in his room in his office. Lupus also grew interested in the fabled Equinox Magic, which he sought after in order to stand a chance against the entirety of the Bronze Legion and its generals. In total, Lupus held two Light Magics and Aether Magic. Lupus, in his patient quest of liberating Tiberia began to make his move by funding revolutionary groups in the town, providing them with quality weapons and provisions. He saw that a sudden and direct attack on the city would probably end badly and put the Assassin Syndicate in a mess. After many failed attempts by the revolutionary groups, he decided to raid the town and kill every Bronze Legion soldier in the village, which left the town undefended. While reinforcements rushed to enter the town, Lupus fended off nearby pirates who wanted to claim the village. Seeing the destruction he caused, Lupus withdrew and returned back to his base when the Bronze Legion reinforcements arrived.
From there, Lupus studied Life Magic and taught some of his pupils the healing magic, despite not being a wielder. He kept all studies of Life Magic in his office and made several copies of the scrolls. Reaching the end of his youth, Lupus stepped down from power and took on a more general and administrative role of an Architect, where he drilled young acolytes and apprentices into hardened assassins. His former pupils were often very strong because of his efforts, and some even became high-ranking officials, operating and managing other grunts.
