Whoa, looks like something straight out of a psychological horror anime
Wow, Merlot looks not only beautiful underneath that mask, but he looks menacing, like he intends to destroy you not only physically with his sharp claws, dagger, and noxious Poison Magic, but psychologically.
I like to think Merlot’s “The Waltz of Death” title not only shows off his proficiency, gracefulness, and professionalism in killing, but underneath that mask is a sadist, who’s gonna slowly reduce you to a bloody, poison ridden pulp.
I kinda headcanon that after he defeats you in a fight, he takes you to his “office” in the Red Corner and makes sure you die a slow, painful death for daring to provoke him. No one would ever find your body.
