Water is wet because it has other water molecules covering it, therefore making it wet.

no, because those water molecules are part of the water mass, meaning they are not on the water, they are the water.

But you could take a piece out of the water, and it’ll still be water. Not all of them are one and the same.

From a writing perspective wet means “covered or saturated with water or another liquid.” if water is covered in water, it just adds to the water, not making it wet. water can only be wet if another liquid is on its surface.

Wait wait wait. So that means that other molecules that aren’t water still makes it wet, because they’re not water. And most of the water in the world isn’t pure, as they always have some other thing floating around in them.

water has cohesion to make it stick to your fingers, which then the fingers register the water as wet. there, problem solved.

Perhaps, however, these other liquids are in such small amounts, that they do not “matter” to the normal observer. If the water had a lot of dirt in it, it would be considered mud, or dirty water.

Does this only apply to water? Wot about all other liquids?

Better question:
Is Lava/Magma wet?

I uh, give me a second

water makes other things wet

I have reassessed my opinion, and i have decided, that in certain circumstances, lava can be wet.

if water is wet then we’d have to force it to horny jail

“I should look this up, but I don’r wanna sound stupid to Google” is such a mood

I have fixed my mistakes

Ah yes, i have come to the conclusion ( the correct conclusion, may I add ) that water, is infact, not wet. This is due to the fact that fire is, in fact, not burnt, along with previous evidence.

soda and other commonly used liquid intakes contain quite a bit of H2O, a key ingredient in water. If water is wet, then that means H2O is wet, which then means that sodas are wet as well (due to the A=B=C math law idk).

if water isnt wet, then it has to be dry, and i dont think water is dry
